Hello

Yes I got hold of one after a long time waiting, and after a few relatively big glitches to begin with... it seems to be working perfectly now with the OS update and software updates online.
(The only problem now that I have to start it up before my computer starts... otherwise I get blue screen - but that doesn't really matter)

The synth itself is absolutely superb, the sound is just incredible, and by incredible, I really do mean incredible. (IMO ) From the fattest hypersaws to the twinkliest arpeggios, to the crunchiest squelches, to the rich portamento'd leads.

The total integration is great as well... It means you really can use it as a VST, and a VERY powerful vst at that. You can control and automate literally every function, and it has completel total recall... so you don't ever lose your finely honed patches. (particularly if you convert it into audio to work with...

Apart from the initial glitches (partly my own fault but mostly the fault of small software and os bugs) I feel this is one of the best things I've ever purchased for music

Just so flexible and so great-sounding           www.myspace.com/beat_nik

From what i heard from people who used it it's an amazing synth BUT it has loads of bugs. The same holds for the Virus|Powercore, amazing but buggy. Apparently there have been some software updates for the TI, and it should work better now but i would wait a bit until it's stable, because it will save you a lot of frustration. Yeah, it's true... it has lots of bugs, but it is an amazing synth. The bugs are better now, and Access support have been very helpful...
but i'd like to stress that it IS an amazing synth!

It's cool Boobytrip           www.myspace.com/beat_nik

I know they're working on the TI, because they're definitely NOT working on the Virus|Powercore anymore I guess some guys have all the luck, and i'm not one of them

Crap, about the lack of support with the Virus|Powercore ...
I've got a powercore, but never had the chance to use the Virus plug-in
Apparently the sounds from powercore are amazing as well.
The virus's (for me) are great, because they have the capability to create the sounds that I hear in my head           www.myspace.com/beat_nik

This is true.. I have mainly noticed it when using it in USB Mode. For now.. I use the USB to only edit the patches. when recording and playback I use the normal Midi port and everything works great so far.

It is a very, very clean sound. yes tey are still working on the bugs.. but eventually Im confident it will work perfectly.

you need a really fast computer to make that baby work in usb mode

since it only works well at really low latency
specially on logic 7

expect some sounf artifacts in this mode as well as crashes and bouncing issues...

still many bugs and timing arp issues and no control page in the plug-in as promised

so it's still just a master keyboard as oposed to a fully controlable knobs surface

they say they're working on it
too bad they released a beta version...

I have a Virus TI, and its a fantastic amazing synth , the sounds it can produce are truly breathtaking at times

um i havnt expierenced to many bugs myself , but i have been using it mostly as a hardware unit and skipping the VST side of things for the moment...

btw Nick, mine also goes blannk when you switch it on like that...what i always do is unplug the usb when i switch it off and then switch it on when the computer is on and then replug the usb (hot plugging) , works for me

the guy who asked if it is worth the money....

you just have to try one and pump all oscillators and sub osc and unison and then turn the filter and feel the power of the thing and you will want to sell your own granny for it..

TI is a C with more effects and the total integration gui on computer, nothing more....on the hardware site it's almost the same as the C that's sad...it's still calculating on 48khz inside...shame on Access!           Procyon Records

I agree with l337. I played with a TI a bit more than a year ago and there are quite a few differences. (The ones l337 mentions but also things like delay and reverb on each patch ...).

And frankly, you don't need more than 48Khz if you are going to 44.1Khz anyway ...
