I did mean that there was no problem at all. the only issue I had was trying to automate it directly as opposed to using a soft knob to automate the control.

It's because on the older TI versions there isn't a physical knob for certain new parameters. Also due to the new parameters some CC values had to be moved around a slight bit and distortion was affected by this perhaps the most.
When OS 3 came out, Access made a newer model Virus TI with some hardware changes including new knobs for those effects. So if you buy one inthe store it will probably be the newer version. I'd avise checking before you buy to make sure it really is... you can tell easily because some knobs and decals will be different.
I basically, using my older model TI, did what Mubali did but using Cubase and it worked fine. See above for how I did it.
I've found in general that certain lesser used parameters don't have automations readily assigned. Right clicking the parameter knob on the VC brings up a menu that lets you enable an automation channel for that parameter. However in the case of a lot of the new Distortion FX, the older model TI doesn't come with physical knobs for these so you have to open some menus and/or use the soft knobs. You can as Mubali said set up the automation remotely using another controller or even another knob on the TI itself. (In Ableton I have 4 of my TI channel volumes and soft knobs routed to faders and knobs on an external MIDI controller, so I can adjust volumes and FX on channels I'm not currently playing on the physical keyboard. Nifty.)

So finally hooked up 0S 3.0.1 today. Looks pretty neat... although i kinda still prefer the older look.. More easy on the eyes me feel. Anyhow wats also pretty nice in the new one is tht sync error alert thingy. Although i havent fully checked the new features.... im very frequently getting a sync error.... Especially while using bass or leads...Quite irritating! Happened quite a few times in the earlier OS also.... Anybody knows why this happens ? .... As the error comes... i cld hear small bleeps and cracks.... Weird indeed....
And btw wats this frequency shifter thingy?

Happens quite often here as well with this red alert..pretty annoying to me actualy..
hope that will be more stable in future updates..

Happens quite often here as well with this red alert..pretty annoying to me actualy..
hope that will be more stable in future updates..

hi brothers
i have a problem maybe you can help
i used to have the 2.7.5 for like 2 months and it works perfectly but today when i opened it i couldn see all the sint some knobs and part of the sinth were completly black i could not even tweak a knob and same pages werre completly black so i sayd WTF??
i installed da 3.0.6 version and it work well at the beginingg but when i opened it now in a bigger project with more channels and fx my sequencer(live ableton)automaticly closed wiht an error of live or of windows
i reallyt like the new look of the virus and the new features but now i dont know what to dooo
i will try installing the virus controll 2.7.5 again
is something have some feedback or some similar problem please tell me

i install again the virus ti 2.7.5 and is working cool in other projcets but when i opened it in these new project it always crashed
im fucked man im really sad i really need to finish these track and i cant because of these
i love these sinthetizer i think is one of the best i ever used but fuck man i jsut want to be abel to use it properly
someone have these same issue¿¿¿¿
any feedback or help is really apreciated |

We've also been having lots of sync problems and even full crashes on our Virus TI2 when switching banks/patches, running 3.01.06 on logic 8.02.
Going to reroll to 2.7.5 and see if it works better.

Willowisp, it could be that the patches you use in your new projects utilize functions that are unavailable in version 2.7.5, causing it to crash.
If you have it connected on USB, you could try to connect it through midi/audio channels and disable USB & Virus Control.
You would lose any tweaks made to the patches you used, but you might be able to take the preset to recreate your sound.
Else you might need to wait till a finalized 3.01 version is released before you can reopen those projects and finish those tracks..
