Virus Snow failing on me :(

I think it's an issue of cpu overload, but figured I'd post this here if anyone has run into a similar situation.
When I load up my snow control plugin into Ableton 8 it will play the default saw sound normally and occasionally a few presets/tweaks will sound fine. It changes every time, but after a few seconds/a minute tops the volume will drop way way down (I have to turn the master volume and the filter volumes all the way up just to barely hear it). The sound also gets crippled and sounds like small clicks. It doesn't say that it's unsynched and stopping/starting doesn't fix it (basically nothing fixes it). This will happen after i only put a few channels into ableton, and my percentage doesn't jump really high or anything. Any help on this or should I just call support?

I've read tons of reports on Ableton 8 stating it's such an unstable version in terms of using third party plug-ins, it's basically like buying a crashed car for full retail price. Have you tried other sequencers?

I think it's more of a my computer is a piece of crap problem. I had only been getting that sound when I was letting the track play, rather than stopping it, then working on the sound.
Hopefully this new desktop that's on it's way to me will fix this  . Thanks for the responses!
