virus interface=no sound cubase 4

im about to throw the whole thing through the window,i just opened up my project and there is no sound at all,ive been into the device setup and everything is normal and there is sound on my computer but not on cubase?
any ideas??

did you make a restart? ive had this problem in Nuendo, like the sequencer does not responds at all, should work after restarting the pc

yea mate i done it twice and i have no long finished a track ive been working on for a month im gutted ,there is just no signal going to the mixer?? i can see the midi note playing ...i have no clue

and another thing to load up my virus snow as a plug in it takes about 5 minutes(honest) is this normal??

hope its not my fault 
what audio interface do you use, because the same exact problem has happened some times to me too , but with shutting down both the pc and card always its fixed and five minutes for loading the plugin is not normal i think at all. have you made any updates on the snow ?, it sounds like somthngs wrong with it

ive just deleted a load of presets and it loads normal now i have sound in a new project but not in my track, i will reboot again thanks

hehe.. i have the same laughing whenever G5s stuck on the protools in the studio or whenever teacher's Macbooks need a good restart..
although i have to admit a Macbook fits really really nice on secretaries desks AND as a decoration lamp for home use , so beautiful
beside joking, i want to ask you galactic , when did you change to Cubase 4? im running Nuendo and two months ago i tried to put Cubase 4 and i had the same exact problem youre mentioning. On my older Nuendo projects, that was loading properly i had no sound on Virus, but only on a new project, brought back an image i had with Nuendo on and worked again properly, it was so weird.
the project youre trying to load is from previous OS or was build in C4? |

hey gutter mate! ive been un c4 for a month and i think i have just sorted the problem,filterbank 3 i think was spazzing it out

see.. well nice you found it. i was afraid of that problem and never installed C4 after then unfortunately cause i wanted to try it so much.
guess i have to start saving for C5 license once and for all, being hopefully more stable and having all these new features, was really amazed by i.. will see

ouch.. thats sucks biiig time.. ask them for an upgrade with the less money possible (or without any if possible?) , there has to be an upgrade for C4 users
