going crazy I've borrowed a virus while a friend has gone away, and i was realy realy hoping to create a good bass! DAYS LATER WTF!
does anybody have advice? Or even better a dam PATCH PLEASE!!!!

I have found a very nice subbass called "Subbass K9". It's probably not good for full-on, but since I don't do that much full-on, I don't care about that 
I did try to come up with a good full-on bass one day, but I failed miserably
I know that the Virus _should_ be good for bass too, but I'm to much of a newbie to get it to behave as I want yet.

set it up like u should for any good subtractive bass....
one oscillator only...saw....um use the lower octaves...
switch all the other crap off....
set a fast envelope and sort the filter...
somthing like that i suppose.....

I never really liked the Virus for Psy basss.
One thing to remember: Set the PhaseInit to anything other than off. |

saw and sine oscillator.... and low pass.. and turn op the "mod env" and maybe put some distortion on
turn the analog boost alittle up and/or aub oscillator
no release or attack

turn all modulation off, gate the amp, envelope on the filter cutoff. 1 oscillator or 2 oscillators synced (maybe 1 osc tuned down 1 oct), main oscillator preferably sawtooth (warmest saw u can find or coaxe), little or no resonance. Check tutorial from atma and tutorial from MikeA. Don't ask for patches, u don't learn from doing that. Don't give up.
