Hey ppl. Do anyone here have tried these machines?

I read the specifications, but they seem to be similar synths. Someone can enlighten me if the Virus Classic is really better than the B series?

Thanks in advance.           LOADING...

I guess the C should be better, though people say that Virus Indigo 1 (B) is better than Indigo 2 (C).

"Sounds like nothing else out there. Beats the Indigo 2 into the ground. I think Access was trying to cut costs when they made the Indigo 2. I compared them and kept the 1."

Weird how people say that indigo1 is better than indigo2.

AFAIK the virii have exactly the same sound engine, that's why patches from C can be loaded into a B, you just loose your Eq or Moog filter settings if you have some.

That's quoted from someones review on harmony-central.com, so it's just some random guy saying it. Some might have other views?

tuntrun is right, the B and C have got the same engine. some effects are new or were changed, for example the new moog-emu filter. that`s why some presets sound better with a C.

the virus classic has got exactly the same operating system, as the B ... i noticed that as i wanted to update mine. it has also got the same knobs and keys. so you can be sure that it will sound as good as the B.           www.daydin.com

Virus Classic isn't Virus C, these are two different products. Virus Classic is actually an updated with new boot and new presets Virus B. Since B series were discountinued Classic came to replace them after C series. Actually this product is for "old Virus" seekers but with new/1st hand hardware piece.

I think specifications on access-music.de shows exactly what the difference between all models, so nothing to discuss here.

"Introducing the VIRUS CLASSIC, a legend in it's own time. This red-hot synth advances the Virus Classic Line to the full specs of the award winning Virus b, packed with power, polyphony, fx, output and of course, knobs!"...

This is from Access site. But if u go for the specs, there´s no important difference. It seems that Classic has only "19" rack ears (exchangeable)" more than B...

So is it the same machine???

There´s also the Virus A, that looks similar to B(same numbers of knobs also), but there´re no specifications...
