hello..guys...so far you all were very helpful..another thing i need help is that i am going to buy a virus...but i am not sure what to get...B or C?
i was reading in the forum that b is more easy to handle cause the lfos are in the interface...and at C the lfos are in the submenu....and they replaced in the interface with the fx....
whats your opinion?
thanks a lot!!!! |

Honestly if you were going to get one of those two I'd just save up the money to buy a Virus Snow. Only problem with that is even though the sound engine is better you get fewer knobs and buttons, but you can fix that with a midi controller.

both good but again virus snow is another world!! b is better cause it got better value for the money imo, but if you get c you have better converters, better interface and better fx, though its not a big difference...

IMO it's worth paying a bit more for a C.
the 'analogue' Moog filter is quite nice - chunky and full sounding... it can honk and squeal beautifully when the resonance is up!
there are a few other little benefits... per-part EQ is incredibly useful for multi-channel sequencing. i believe the multi-single mode is better resolved than the B (?), there more buttons, more LEDs, more simultaneous FX, undo / redo implementation is better, i think...
but for me the absolute number one all time most important thing about the C is that you get an extra 3 modulation source slots and an extra 3 modulation destinations. this really does open up loads of possibilities and you can do much more with the synth.
ultimately though a Virus B (or even an A!) would be a wonderful addition to any studio... extra mod slots is useful for me because i love sound design, but you can still do amazing things with a Virus B.
whatever you choose, good luck and welcome to the club!

Maybe i'm wrong, but I used to think the Virus C had actually much better and directer control over your Lfo's and such.
Regarding the TI Snow which some here have mentioned.
The Ti Snow is only 4 parts multitimbral and not 16 like the b, c and bigger Ti's are.
