Someone once told me to set my "Virtual Ram" (or is it called "Virtual Memory", I don't know exactly, in German it's "Virtueller Arbeitsspeicher") on 2250 MB (I have a Pentium 4, 3.00 GHz, HT, 1.50 GB Ram, all in all 330 GB HD-space).
Does this setting make sense or could I get more out of my system with a different setting?
Best wishes,
Human

??
even if you have set it manualy?
human : That was an ancient rule (to use as V Mem. the x1.5 of your physical ram) when computer had something like 128 or 256 Mb ram.
Nowdays its not to critical to use such a big amount. (And its not too 'good' to use a lot of virtual memory). I guess that even with 1-1.5 Gb you will be ok.
