i think there are Logic version only up to v6.xx for the PC Platform. anyways i dont think i got your question right.

Taken from TweakHeadz.com
http://www.tweakheadz.com/review_of_logic_6.htm

"As of this writing, late in December 2003, Logic Platinum has been a Mac-only application for almost a year and a half. Things have quieted down since Apple's buyout and everyone is now back at work. In the meantime, Mac OSX has just about replaced OS9 and a new version of OSX, named Panther, is on the shelves. Slowly operating system issues are being resolved with music applications and plug-ins. The "new" Logic has taken on a commitment to Apple's "core audio" and to "audio units" as a scheme for operating plugins and soft synths in Logic. Forget about VST's and VSTi's, DX's and DXi's, these unwashed dudes are not invited to the party. Don't complain to me, ok? It's not my idea of a good time. Or is it? Yep, we'll get into that thorny issue."           (www) DarkPrisma.com.ar/ ~ FranticNoise.com.ar/ ~ Megalopsy.com.ar/ ~

i don't think so, you'll still need to have a host for them on the pc (or the virtual pc) and then you can send midi-data from logic to the host on the pc (or the virtual pc). VST's cannot work without a host.

No u cant... Virtual pc is just a windows emulation, yes u can drag files from one host to the other but thats abt it... .doc files etc can be used on both but no using virtual pc doesnt mean u can use windows plugins in logic.... secondly logic 7 needs a vst wrapper to even run vst plugins made for mac.... logic uses audio units - same thing, diff config... There was a time when plugins were cross operating platform i think, not anymore :-(

yes but to my knowledge this is only capable of converting mac vst to au, i dont think it converts pc vst or vsti.... i maybe wrong, i use the wrapper to convert some old refx plugins like the slayer and some others but often certain charecteristics are not in the, however fxpansion is very very good

Logic 7 isn't "native" VST compatible, period. But as a few of the guys mentioned, you can use the VST to AU converter from FXPansion. However, I've found that some of the VST2AU converted plugins, doesn't work in Logic.

Cheers,

Big blunder on their part. Nice one guys. 3 years later and my Mac friends are still pissed.
