disk space is cheaper these days than a good smoke so i dont see the point of that argument.

is not realy bout the HD space..more bout the taste of working..
i prefer to pick an oscilator and sculpt than startin from a wave sample..
the oscilators already gave me possibilities enough to have to startin filter those possibilities...and to add waves table to those possibilities would ony raise the possiblities that are already in need of bein filtered...
like havin 100 synths installed... but master of none.... maybe if i was startin the production world right now i d be more open for those synths..

ACE

ace sounds awfully nice (especially for bass), but it's so damn complicated with all the cables. i watched a few tutorial videos and played around a bit, but cannot make a patch that's a bit more complicated as i get confused. i'd like the ace sound with a zebra-like workflow... |

oh yeah it is a killer for bass. But also for lots of other things I guess for all.So far I made only lots of basses and some strange lfo sweeps.Sounds like nothing else.I think sounds better than most analogues. The mapping generator is also a nice tool to make it even more vivid.Read the manual and study this is amazing tool.

i think when i will run ace into my thermionic culture i will get hard
osc have too much that u-he caractere imo that just what anoy me a little for some sounds but it s good for some other stuff so not really a problem, also its not better than analog even if you ask urs he will tell you it s not, it s good on his own ,one might like it better than some analog stuff that s not suprising sound is about taste... but code don t replace real voltage yet.
i was reading something on kvr Urs was talking about filters it would take a lot of cpu for no compromise quality , it s not possible yet... sound good already like this but it will get even better in the futur , zebra 5 will smoke everyhting |

I don't know how some people can say omnisphere or east west stuff isn't good... I mean, really? No creative input required? If you pick X instrument and mix it with Y instrument it isn't creative because it is a wave? What about the composition? I bet all the haters here produce fast bpm trance and use albino and discovery leads in every track... if you don't need to worry about melody (because your music doesn't have any) yea, I can't see much use in this kind of vst.
