atropa-fatdata, sorry your right. although I never spoke bad about deckadance. Actually now I'm looking forward in trying a DJ program that accepted VST's, you should of said that earlier.

And man, you got to admit it: that is one lame video!!!

I wonder when traktor 4 comes out... the 3rd version is already a little old, probably they will add the vst component to.

By the way, is the deckadance rewireable with fl or vice versa?           Super Banana Sauce http://www.soundcloud.com/knocz

Sounds like you are talking about using arrangement view in Live?
If you use session view you can cue, loop and trigger the tracks using a controller.

I never "construct" a set but perform it without ever touching the mouse, and it really not that different compared to Traktor apart from the added possibilities.

Actually, I was talking about session view, but I guess it depends on how much you design your project. I suppose you could drop an entire song into a clip. I've mostly seen people chopping up songs into parts, & arrangeing it, many times on the fly. This obviously takes work up front, but once you've got a bunch of tracks done this way, you've got much more flexibility.

I've pretty much always seen it done this way with looping on for the clips. So, your triggering your clips on & off, and that's why I refer to it as arranging. More flexibility at the cost of more micro management.

Perhaps you are doing it differently? (that is the beauty of Ableton)           Keep The Faith,
