I love Dali,i learnt alot about him in my art class at school and then at the fotography school!!He´s amazing for his time,i mean u could use his work for deco at club if u changed them to fluro colors but thats direspecting him in a way! :)
I believe then the artists were extremely gifted!i mean they didnt have computer graphics,fotoshop and what have u !!They are/were pure original,gifted artists who ofcourse became rich after they died!!

Speaking of surrealistic painters, a friend of mine showed me something he is working on.
