that's kinda funny cause i find "your voice" to be maybe the most uncomplex.. the 2nd most pop track on this album.. maybe my most well.. not favourite..

hmm expected october 6th @ saikosounds.. they sure changed the date.. afaik it was supposed to be sept 15th or smth like that..

Shit. Didn't expected that coming. Surely the guys showed very impressive abilities up to date. The First album was very nice and some releases in compilations we're very nice but with their remix to "Deeply Disturbed" and then the Excellent Your Voice Single they definately earned my trust.
Just bought the album and it's definately Mindfuck.
So intense, so well produced. Hardly comparable to anything that was released in Israel in their style. Sorry, not comparable to absolutely nothing.
I don't know what exactly are their influences but it reminds me the most artists like BT, Adam Freeland, Chemical Brothers and even Prodigy (The beat in "Get You Closer" reminds me too much the beat in Prodigy's "Smack My Bitch Up")
Anyways more detailed review by me will be soon.
This one worths 10 listens at least.
Do yourselves a favour, this is an album you don't want to miss.
And a little advice to BNE/YoYo:
Please do yourself a favour and try to push the album to bigger labels that deal with this kind of releases like XL Records or Skint. This is too good to be missed by Breakbeat heads worldwide.

Violet Vision are genre defying. Both past releases and this album, Unfold, has seen Violet Vision throw together elements of trance, breakbeats, psychedelic, drum and bass, hardcore, indie and rock to name but a few of the diverse elements that seems to fuel them. One would think that a combination like that would produce an unholy cacophony not fit for human ears, but not so. What you actually get is an audio treat that is so groundbreaking and innovative you are compelled to give it your undivided attention. |
