i think production vs dj there is no contest. producers always win (what if we all became djs? there would be no music left..)
and what you say is true but as you stated *good* is the keyword! many of the djs arent good and we have to listen to half crap anyway!! production is the lesser of two evils  |

These days .. most of the Djs that play in festivals are.. old school dudes.. who is been in the scene for the long time .. or some label owners..
Value of the Djs are getting lesser and lesser.. Usually when people check on the flyer... they look for live acts.. they do not even look at the Dj list.
Djs dont get paid as much as live acts.
I Also think, any one can be a Dj.. even Paris Hilton is a dj.

the fault is to the one that make them play.. there always been very good dj in the scene and some / many do live acts too , they would probably agree as a dj they can offer a set of higher quality.. as you can just go with feeling and how the crowd react and stuff like this and have more choice of music to play .. |
