Have you tired Plugin your turntable to your computer?
Then just record it as wavs and bbbuuuurrrnnn :)

You might need a mixer or somthing to bridge the different voltages of the components.

The difference in voltage is exactly my problem, i tried plugin it and i couldn't hear a thing.
I'll try it with a mixer and record it as wavs like you said.
10x for the help man.:)

You need a pre-amp for a turntable just like you need a pre-amp for a microphone.

I have CEC ST510 turntable, and I don't have an amp (had one but now its gone:() so I really can't listen to my turntable.
I have now a maxi system (you know- tuner, cd changer, cassets deck etc.) but i can't plug in my turntable cause there is no place to plug the ground wire (haraka), and i can bearly hear something like that :(.
and by the way my cd writer is in my computer.
so you say i can't do this without an amp?
(a mixer can't do the job?)

Benny,

A mixer can definately do the job.

Plug the turntable into the "phono" input of the mixer, then plug the output of the mixer into the computer soundcard!

Also, I've been told (can anyone verify this?), that for best quality for recording with your mixer, you should have the level for the channel you're using completely maxed, and bring the MAIN volume down if you have to.

Basically, if you record on 16 bit it's best to have the volume as high as possible with clipping. Clipping means that the VU meter reaches the red in the computer.
If you're on a 24 bit system (probably not) then you can get really low on the volume without hurting the quality, then just normalize it.
