MATRIX RELOADED

Juno Reactor have just completed work on the score of the eagerly
awaited new Matrix film, 'Matrix Reloaded'.

Ben was initially invited out to Los Angeles by the directors to provide
music on one of the films key scenes, the freeway chase.

This scene was described by Newsweek

The freeway chase will redefine action filmmaking and visual effects for
years. The sequence may be the most audaciously conceived, thrillingly
executed car chase ever filmed."

The director's were thrilled that their vision of hard electronica and
orchestral music had finally been achieved, they asked for another key
scene to be written in this way, the Burly Brawl.

Juno Reactor have 3 new tracks on the soundtrack album,
Mona Lisa Overdrive - Juno Reactor
Teahouse - Juno Reactor feat. Gocoo
Burly Brawl - Juno Reactor v. Don Davis

There are further tracks featured on the Animatrix and also the Enter The
Matrix interactive computer game.

ONCE UPON A TIME IN MEXICO

Pistolero will be featured this summer on the trailer for the new Robert
Rodrigez film "Once Upon A Time In Mexico", Pistolero also appears in the final
film in the Mariachi trilogy, starring Johnny Depp, Salma Hayak, Antonio Banderas
& William Defoe.

Maybe they worked on the Oakenfold track since that is imo a welcome return for Paul to Goa (strange, since he ridiculed our beloved genre after the re-release of Voyage into Trance), although it sounds more MWNN-ish than TE.

I had a chat with DJ Xavier last weekend and, unfortunately I forget the exact #, but I believe he said Ben was being compensated something like 20million $ for the soundtrack work. Can anyone else confirm that #?
I guess he won't hafta work too hard after that!

That is a little to much or maybe way to much , anyway its a very good thing to see some tracks from the pioners of psytrance on one of the best science fiction movies ever.
Hopefully it will open the door for other artists from our scene!!

way to go Ben and company !!

No, it's a different track. Both tracks take their name from the William Gibson book. I'm sure Juno Reactor have no idea that there's already a trance track by the same name, but considering that a lot of trance acts are influenced by Cyberpunk it would come as no surprise.

Also William Gibson with his trilogy that started with "Neuromancer" was basically the inspiration for the movie the Matrix, so it was only fitting that they would name a track from it as a tribute.

It's coming out on Thursday, I can't wait to see it and I'm so glad that I know which parts have the Juno Reactor music.           Both teams played hard

I remember clearly the words "set for life". $200,000 isn't quite enough to be set for life. Anyway, if they spent even a small fraction on the music of what they are spending on advertising, 20 mil is an underestimate. I donno what it's like around the world, but Reloaded is released in Japan in June and now there are major billboards everywhere. Shibuya station intersection (in Tokyo) is COVERED in Matrix images. Everywhere you look. Should be a blast.

This movie is totaly mind blowing, full with action and sexuality and some great special effects, but i have to say some parts were like a video game ... The way Laurence Fishburne (Morpheus) is acting and speaking is just amazing, even better than Jesus . The tribal music on the party in the last human site was really great, i guess it was from Juno reactor and also the goa-trance track on the highway chaise, which took them 40 days to make that sequence of the movie. Matrix Reloaded definatly made my day.

To be concluded......

p.s. Revolutions(the 3rd one) was made at the same time as Reloaded and its comming out in november !

go see it !!
