lets be more specific ...

what do u expect to see on the cover?... same line of design? to match the music? not to match?...
what sleeve u wanna see?... minimum pages? or more? what packing u want it to be?
u want the music to surprise u? or u wanna know what u gonna hear? u want new names? or more established once? u want parties all over? u want T-shirts? stickers?... what ever is on your minds...
let us know

i can tell u for sure that not all expectations can be amswered... but we still wanna know.

boom

well, presonaly, i like not plastik but karton pacage, i love the coveres much to the muzik, if it is dark tech to the cover must mach.... well for example , the 2 delta's alboms, dark soho alboms, midi miliz alboms.... and ugly cover its like last gms's alboms... not much to the muzik at all, if it psy trance so the cover must be psychedelic and colerfull.... well thats my opinion.... i hate when lable realese tracks what been released alrady...
i want tracks i never heard..... i love surprices....
i love when the last track is some freestayel or ambien or some thing like that....
also i love the stikers in the cds, like last xdream albom and shale's Zoo comilation!
also, bpm's on evry track... so when we play at partyes (not all of us) it will be usfful!

about other stuff.....
lable gimiks!
like t-shirts, hats, cd cases, stikers, videos of partys that lable produce...

also it nice to recive newslater from a lable to the e-mail about new releases....

hummmmm what more...

one more, when i buy original cd, i expect the best sound qulety , so there must be killer mastering...

well if i think about some thing more... ill say..

mean time thats all, i hope its not too much hehehe

cheers!

When I'm buying a record I'd like to know what's inside. No surprises....
I mean don't make a full on comp and stick inside some minimal tech trance, get it?
About covers, make them fit the music. But that's up to the artist, right?

Stickers & stuff are always welcome.. I think labels should pay me for the amount of stickers I have in my room, just about on anything.

got it yossi...

1. stickers and stuff like that are more than welcome but of course it will make the cd more expensive.
2. as tes said, bpm is important.
3. and about the covers, i want them to be innovative and fresh. and imo the cover has nothing to do with the music itself. (examples of covers i liked. both the idea and the result: exaile, new paste. covers i didn't like: TIP covers )
4. another thing i don't like is those wide-ranged compilations. the label puts 3 techy tracks, 3 full on and 2 progs and try to match everybody. imo every compilation has its croud.
5. most of the tracks in a compilations should be unreleased but 1 or 2 released is ok. and can sometimes give you an insight about what's in there (of course this doesn't work in option 4)

We are trying our best, we do make quality covers and packages ( just check our compilation and you will see ), best mastering and a spectrum of the dancefloor stuff!
T-shirts and others on the way!

We would like to read more good ideas!

The Chaos Theory: almost nobody makes music in 24 bit / 96 khz just their computer cant handle, there is no computer which can handle 20 tracks in this quality + vstis i think, also the cost of the producing of DVD is very high and the problem is still the lack of sales of the much cheaper cd!          Procyon Records

Since I don't usually save CD boxes (not enough room in my car for 500 boxes) the cover and the inner sleeves don't really matter.
I like when the names of the tracks are printed on the CD (like Cosma- Simplicity) especially if its a compilation.
Freebies are always great like the stickers I got for buying the Etheogenic and Shulman CD's.
A video clip like Hujaboy did is a HUGE plus.

You need to have between 2 and 4 established names to attract people and give them an idea of what to expect before they decide to buy it. If a CD has 5-7 new names on it that is fine as long as the music is fresh and it sounds good (I trust you on that one Yossi)

I don't really care if you go with a simple design for the cover and the inner sleeves if it will help keep the cd cost under 12-13 bucks. Thats really a big factor.
For example the reason why I bought the Crosslink compilation (other then the fact that it was released by Digital Structures and Iboga) was that I got two full cd's for 12 or 13 dollars. Thats a good deal anyway you look at it.

Another idea that might help bring up sales is to put high quality full samples (lets say 112 kpbs) of the tracks on the compilation so people won't have the use the old "listen before you buy" excuse.

I had some other ideas but I forgot so maybe I'll remember them later

good luck guys!

For me as a customer, everything is as important as the other as long as we´re not talking about extras like stickers etc...

one thing i think is really good and have so far only seen with the procyon recs compilation (thankyou danger and roopak ) was the little sheet to stick in the cd wallet with the track names on, this is actually really hlpful for djs and everyone should do it!

another thing i would like, but is not really necessary is a bit of info about the artist in the sleeve, you know... the way a book alway has some puff about the author on the inside cover.
failing that, then the labels websites should have good info, but when i am chilling with my tunes i am not surfing the web..           >>love will tear us apart...<<
