Can anyone please enlighten me on the connection btw we India and Trance... (Leaving aside the fact that Goa is the most wanted psy destination)
Do Indians have any real connexions with trance or is it all made up stories...
Have been looking for the answer fr quite sometime but till now couldn find a perfect answer...

The only connection between trance and India is foreigners using pictures of Shiva as some psychedelic 'creature' we see while under the influence and our ancient spirituality which nobody seems to even understand one bit.

The connection is between the ntraj which is the go d who using dancing technique to get high with music up to a level were the ego deos not count anymore...Thus was trance born similar technique to enlighten yourself and make your life better

A few years ago I tripped out and randomly found myself doing the Chakra-aasan somewhere next to the party in the forest. It wasnt directly connected to trance but the state of consciousness I reached in that position was far from anything I've ever been able to get to through dance.
Concur with Krell.... Psy-Trance -> Awakening -> Spirituality -> Yoga -> India

trance takes us into a journey just as our great yoga masters n hindu gods have taught us........ it's a similar experience........... just experienced wid music dat awakens our spirits n our consciousness............
now all dis happens to originat from da beautiful land called india  but i think da isralies rule wid da sounds n india is just a host now to their shows

Its the spiritual aspect of things and espeially the dance of Shiva - The cosmic dance, dance of creation as well as of destruction. It is the dance packed with dynamic expression of power and is very similar to what we feel when we experience the realms of psychedelic sounds.
