						| As many of you already know the Indian Section is now on Read-Only mode.
I and the moderators discussed this issue with the Indian users in this thread:
 http://forum.isratrance.com/viewtopic.php/topic/98192/forum/36/start/15

I politely explained the situation, suggested alternatives, asked users to re-think their attitudes, in fact I asked for very little... In short: we had a dialog on this thread and on dozens PMs exchanged between me and the users.

However, the situation didn't improve. This is attached on the top of the section, it explain pretty much our my point of view:

"The Indian Section is on "read-only" mode for an undetermined amount of time.

We tried to discuss the issue as much as we could, and we think it had a positive impact on some users, but unfortunately a huge amount of users couldn't care less and like to have fun at the expenses of the whole community. More moderation will only show we accept the childish behavior of these users who make excessive moderation needed, so we decided to make the section read-only.

We're locking the section because we like it, and it is a shame to see it as the worst section at IsraTrance, as a bad example to the rest of the world. We're sad because many good users will loose their home section, but we can't allow some individuals to spoil the community we have here.

We don't know what the future holds for this section- it's up to the Indian trance tribe of Isratrance to sort its own problem. You failed at that and so we'll take a vacation for a while and let's see if things can change.

This is the time to re-think your attitudes and your role on our beloved psyscene."

Locking the section was a hard decision to make, people are already bashing and judging me because of my decision.

Keep in mind that this is not an act of dictatorship, I did what no dictator do: I talked to the people, asked and followed suggestions, answered all PMs they sent me, etc...

If you read the thread on the link above you'll see that a lot of users agree that the best solution is to close the section, but instead of removing the section, we're only locking it and giving you time to think about your attitudes.

I have the responsibility toward the whole community to keep the site as a useful reference point, giving the example with education and respect.

Many people use to say they love psytrance, this is the time to show that Unity and Respect are not only words we use to pretend we are connected, but ideals we live by.

 Respect!
. ...Be gentle with the earth...
 ...Dance like nobody's watching...
 .
...I don't mind not going to Heaven, as long as they've got Coffee in Hell...

						| Whats done is done and its probably for the best. Goa season is around the corner so I doubt this is going to bother a lot of the 'real' users ... they're going to be busy enough living it instead of wishing they were through this forum.
I urge you guys to keep the India forum as it is though. The Goa thread belongs in the India section and ideally should remain read-only as long as the section is.

At this point of time users (all isratrancers) need to realise what it is that we lose through this move. Play out the pros and cons.

As for threats from some of the Indian users. Please take a passive role at this point. Its the only thing thats going to convince the management.

Sorry you got the brunt of the backlash full_on. But thank you for being the one to come forward to say what had to be said. Wouldn't have wanted to hear it from anyone else.

 Respect.
