Absolut for example i prefer Orion live perfomance than an Orion DJ Set while on the other hand i prefer an Alien Project DJ Set than his live perfomance 
Depends on the artist like i said before

Well its not only a matter of music.
I love the way he mixes and his stage appearence.
For me he is one of the best djs around.

I agree with Narcoris. A live is not just a sequencer playing the tracks on a laptop.
I remember seeing Star Sounds Orchestra live in Just Dance 2002. They had some huge gongs on the stage, percursion and one weird device that made sound whenever you waved your hands quickly above it (or tapping it). Those gongs were pure bliss...
The point is, a creatively organised live set is way beyond any dj set.
I hope I can see Shpongle live sometime soon...

Well I guess it depends from the line-up...
If u are having 2-3 live acts, with more or less different style and then a bunch of djs I guess they are all welcomed... 
But if we are talking about just a Live act and then the same guy(s) following with a djs set, I think is a bit too much...
IMO, instead of having only one artist playing for u Live and then dj set, is better to have 3 locals and then have your guest play a dj set....
First, the promoter gives the chance to locals to show their muscles , second, he/she saves some cash, and third the ppl do not have too much of just one style...
