these are the numbers for the latin america section, including the biggest scenes which are brazil and mexico
argentina 23
bolivia 1
brazil 350
chile 1
el salvador 1
mexico 124
peru 1
total 501
in these numbers we have 30 artists, 2 labels, and a lot of party organizers. in unofficial numbers you have a lot of people who are starting to make music, are starting a label and are starting to do parties, we are doing this in argentina, honguito is doing it in peru, neurotrance in bolivia, blade in venezuela and many more.
we have 501 users with brazil, without them 151, same users as russia, 3 times the number of japan, etc. this is a fair number of users to make worthy trying opening a new forum. for example i see there is an scandinavian section, why not make the same for latin america?.
these of course would mean chaging the brazil section into a latin america one. which i think its fair, specially if you take in consideration mexico's scene. my point is quite simple: instead of using a "how many people post" criteria to open new forum, i would use a "lets reflect the scene and its changes" one.
there is no point in opening a new forum for each country, but i think its quite fair to give the rest of america a space to let you know about what we are doing. we are not not north america or brazil, so for now we dont have a place to let you know whats up in our side.

Filter you kill me...you want to delete the brazilian section to add them to an "southamerican section",never in a million years man.,that´s very unfair and you know that there is a MASSIVE scene in brazil plenty of very active members...and you perfectly know how their reaction could be.(if not I tell you,Kill us)
It´s not about artists,it´s not about labels.
Is about active people in this forum.
You have then 151 members,mostly joined to this forum because,I pretty much assume,you asked them personally (am I wrong???).
Besides I still don´t see how this could help your scene.
You can have your opinions in about how the scene is changing...I have mine.

justin i do not like you but i will answer as i still consider this is an important issue to discuss.
of course i know deleting the brazil section is crazy, in fact i dont know if brazil really cares about the rest of latin america, as many times my proposals got turned down quite harshly by brazilian organizers who didnt care about low-budget countries.
but this 151 members, which include mexico, peru, bolivia, etc are real members that post and are interested in participating in this forum. argentinian guys there are 23 and of course i did my best to encourage argentinian guys to come when the "post more, then we listen to you" criteria was used, but this does not reflect the users from mexico and other countries. im just asking for a latin america section which would include all the countries from mexico to argentina, exluding brazil.

Please chill all of you.
As I said in other places before the criteria for opening a new regional section is first of all if we feel that we have enough of a community from that region that takes a positive active part in this forum and second if we have people wanting to moderate whom we feel see and feel things roughly in the same way that we do (guidelines above you in pink).
If both those things exist we can consider a new section.
Currently we're not sure this is the case (just look at this topic), and on top of that I have a feeling that there's really no need for the forum to grow currently, but it is more important for it to get a bit nicer first, maybe even a bit smaller.
So, bottom line: we noted your requests, we're looking into them, if and when we decide we'll let you know.

So what??? filter is wrong???i dont see what is the big deal to include mexico into the Latin america section u know mexico is part of latin america as i already told u in the south america section, and there is a lot of users from mexico that are active and posting
