It's time for the Halloween edition of Secret Psychedelica v4 and what better treat is there than a pioneer of psychedelic trance for a Monday night scare? This month's guest not only helped shape the direction of psychedelic trance but also works as groove consultant and programmer with Dave Allen, producer of the Cure. He has numerous classic releases on labels such as Blue Room, Transient, and Atomic Records as well as current dancefloor stormers co-produced with Simon Posford of Hallucinogen and Dino Psaras from Cydonia. Hey everyone, just wanted to give you all an update. D-Tek was in town for the Circles of Sound festival and is down to drop by Secret Psychedelica for a last-minute DJ set. So...for still the low price of $5, you will get a chance to catch two international psytrance headliners tonight. See you all tonight!

It was absolutely incredible. We cut price after a certain point and I didn't keep attendance count that well but it was around 250 people. Very good for our area! People were definately amazed with Vax's set, they were like this is sorta techno but psychedelic hehe (he played a psy-tek set for us). Lots of new people got into psy around here and old travellers around the midwest got a treat. The crowd was cheering and clapping, etc the whole eve. Was amazing Arwin needs to talk some of you guys into coming to our next event

Great sets from both D-Tek and Joti... these guys are definately world class DJs.
Mostly the regulars from Michael's San Jose crew in attendance and, as a nice surprise, some long-time listeners from my radio show that had never made it out before.
While there was a decent amount of folks there, many would-be Cicles of Sound attendees were not there. It baffles me how consistently people in the scene refuse to drive the extra 20 minutes from the city to San Jose to see headliners for a mere $5. I'm not suggesting a small monday night club gig like this would have been a full-blown substitute for seeing these guys at Circles of Sound, still... come on people!
Although I will say... I miss the pinball machine there... Full On Psy-Pinball is one of the world's most unexpected pleasures. Damn.
