Thinkin' about Israeli psyscene...

I was thinking about these facts and about non-psy people activity on trance parties in Israel, so let's see...
Population and trance
Ok, we got something like 6.8 million people living in Israel (Not including foreign workers), which include approximately 189,000 these foreign workers, and approximately 1.3 million are Arabs.
So we got ~5.2 million of us, that are Isrealis.
Something like 10% that is 670,000 of Israelis (including Arabs and others) are age 65 or over so we let's say without foreigns we have ~520,000 of people that are not connected to psytrance fore sure  . Still there is a chance of some spieces what going to party together with their grandsons .
~5,200,000 - ~520,200 = ~4,680,000 people left.
Ok, from ~4,6 million let's say we got maybe ~200,000 normal people (without children, cops, soldiers etc) that have a chance to go to a party.
Let's assume, that one percent of those people are connected and another part of them knows who is Astrix and Skazi.
Whatever, let's say we have ~2000 more or less normal people allover Israel waiting for another friday.
From them we have approximately 100 psybabas, ~500 goaheads, ~500 nice PPL, and the rest (~900) are all kinds crazy freaks that spend they days by doing some drugs in the forests of Israel.
Parties:
Now, let's take an example :
22.10.2004
We got at least 4 parties at same day that include two $$$ parties, and 2 underground parties.
1) Moglix VS Nasha
2) Two different underground parties (I won't post nothing)
Both Moglix and Nasha have killer line-ups and lot of energy, money and nerves were spent to organize this gigs. Respect! But same date??? What's the point???
Distribution
So like we said we got 100 babas what 30% of them will split between Moglix and Nasha, 60% will do it underground, the rest will go to nature trip somewhere in Israel, or will sleep at home.
Plus, we got ~1000 of people (Goaheads and nice PPL) what 10% will go to M/N, 30% underground and 60% at home/something else
Let's add some part of drug eating freaks and we got:
$$$$$ Parties: as usual - 10-20 good people (not including organisators and staff)+ 100 normal people + unknown quantity of freaks mixed with arsim that gonna to cover all the charges.
Underground parties : most of people are connected.
So, folks that is the Israel's PSYSCENE...
Underground is the key!

well andrey.......
as i myself c it..............
u right that underground events r few levels ontop of comertial ones
only the point that at underground event all crowd know each other and at comertial event even orginisers dont know who the f**k r the ppl that coming to their parties
but take a look from other point of view.....
without those comertial $$$$ parties all this "not asociated" crowd will still look for party (for them its a tradition to go party each weekend-just like clubers)
so what they will do?????
one way or other they will find about same underground parties (this is small country and u know how easy its to find info about parties)
so next thing u will c all those "wierdos" that u, as underground orginiser, even dont know flow to ur party.........
ur underground party lost the point..........
it will be filled with those same arsim and "unknown quantity of freaks" .........
sure underground is the way.......
but without 'mainstream' and comertial parties there will no place for underground
even the oposite i would say........
when we do a party and there is 2-3-4-.....8 comertial parties we are verry happy
coze then its low the chances that some ars or some "new age raver" will apear at our event
and then we r almost sure for 99% of a crowd at party will be only our crowd with no nonwelcome outsiders (ofcorse we glad when true hippies r coming and we welcome new faces )
man u know that those comertial parties r not 'israely psysceene'
u cant call this same "drugless" festival as psysceene
also not those comertial f**kers that make "psychedelic" parties under cover of mainstream djs
its sceene no doubt
but not psychedelic trance one
its only "trance" that lost any connection to psychedelic (i mean from music to ppl to vibes)
again.....
its mainstream parties......
real psychedelia is always underground
those 2 sceenes cant exist one without the other
mainstream will always try to copy the underground
and underground in same time tries to get far from mainstream with new ideas
both develops in paralel
so i hope i didnt insalt noone here and make it prety clear to understand
again its my own point of view

5Meo-Geo, my point of view of commercial side is that these overpromoted guys who try to perform on TV is NOT KILLING THE SCENE, but they "teaching" non-psy people what is Psytrance and how it works
One year ago i hated money makers, but now I try to find another point of view, it's sad but true...

i have a little question for u guys...
is it a problem that "little kids" are going to partys?
cause i think its a bad thing to say that u dont want "kids" at your partys...
as u know trance have no age...
i see my self and my friends as the new generation of the scene (not the commercial scene)...but thats my point of view |

yes...but zombizoola, u know that kids normally just want 2 have fun and stuff like thix...itīs typical for their age...as the years go by u realize that not everything that kids think is like they think...i myself as the age go by, realise that things are not as i used 2 think...just that!
the love for thix thing, doesnīt have age...but certainly has actions and thoughts, that when u are 2 young sometimes u donīt understand them...and only by living them u get the knowledge and responsability 2 handle them, right?

and of course, my point of view...and i also respect yours....
thix doesnīt mean that i donīt like 2 see young people @ parties...and so i like 2 see elder people in parties also...thix way we see all kinds of people!cool isnīt it?

i thought u say something else...
well sure they teach new ppl about psyculture
otherway there was no newcomers to the sceene
with time some of newcomers actualy understand that its not "real" psysceene and they begin to search for underground......
its happen to all of us i guess
as newcomers we was at happy at comertial parties
but with time we keep develope.....
comertial sceene still stayed on same level for new newcomers
Zombizoola i personaly went on 1st psyparty at age of 17 (10 years ago)......
at our parties we have 'kids' also
music dont have agelimit........
kids give same vibe like elders.....
even more sometime
and 'kids' r the future also!!!!

yeh u right a3k there some kids that come to partys just to say "ive been in a nature party" i know some of these...but there is some that realy come to enjoy the party, the music, the ppl and etc...to be part of the party vibe
anyway 10x for answering..now i understand your opinions... |
