Dear friends,
The Boom Festival is nearing...
I am excited to say that I am the Official East Coast USA Hub (Ambassador) for Boom info and ticket sales. It is the cheapest and most convinient method to get to the greatest festival of the year.
I will be selling tickets along with providing information regularly until the festival itself (which happens to be on my birth day  )
Tickets are available right now along with flyers, posters and other promotional items. I will make sure to circulate the flyers around the East Coast as best as possible.
Boom 2004 Ticket Prices:
Super Discount Pre Sale - from 1st May to 15th June 2004: $87 USD.
Pre Sale - from June 15th to 31st July 2004: $105 USD.
Tickets at the Boom Festival Gate on sale from the 25th August 2004: 100Eu.

yay, i think that about half of the SF trance scene is headed to boom this summer! the last one was amazing, this one promises to be even better

lineups will be announced in june, the organizers' idea behind this is to shift the focus it just being a mega dance party to a more involved community super event.

Vibrating into the full moon!
5 days and 4 nights of psyconnecting to culture, art, life, music and cosmic love!
Fractalising our energies in unison with the collective consciousness.
What are we doing?
At the moment the Boom 2004 pre production is running quite swiftly. Many decisions and targets have already been decided. Still the stress abounds.
A huge effort is being made to provide you as soon as possible with as much information as we can gather about what will be the Boom this year.
At present major works are happening on the new design direction of Boom 2004. Soon you will start to be showed the new marvels of the dragon.
Timings:
To make things clear here is the Boom Gate and Artistic Program schedule:
25th August at 9 AM – the gates will open to the public. This year the dragons will open their realms to the boomers one day earlier then the day set for the start of the artistic program. This novelty has been introduced, so that you can safely and comfortably set up your camping environments.
26th August, some time during the afternoon – the artistic programs will Start. The party and our individual consciousness will start melting!
30th August, some time during the afternoon – the artistic program will End. Time to cool down, pack the camping and start heading “home”.
31st August, end of the afternoon – the Boom site will be closed to public and must be totally evacuated.
Program concept:
Boom Festival 2004 - a continued metamorphosis of the self existent Boom Being! A multi exploratory art platform/gathering for the psychedelic culture and scene. The Boom multilayer, multidimensional organism!
Let your senses flow into the Boom realms. Fly within the dragons into the trance floor, ambient Boom, performance areas, convention zone, flea market, food areas and multi art installations. Dive into the consciousness lake!
For shapevolving information and creation updating, please check this site frequently. Soon we will be informing you of all the artistic and cultural details of Boom2004.
The Site:
The location of the Boom will be the shores of the lake of Idanha. Near the village of Idanha-a-Nova. The same paradisiacal location as used in Boom 2002. Nearest airport is Lisboa (Lisbon to Idanha-a-Nova, aprox. 280 km.)
Several private transport deals are being arranged so that you will have your trip made easier once you are in Portugal. Soon more info on this.
Boom 2004 looking for your skills:
Performance & Arts Area
The upcoming edition of Boom Festival 2004 is planning to open wider doors to Performance Arts. Every year, a lot of performers come to Boom Festival to participate in this event, bringing along their props and special costumes, sharing with us images and skills of art.
This year, we want the Performance & Arts to have a better space and visibility, by creating conditions and giving special attention to those who come.
The Performances & Arts Area will not happen in only one place in particular, but all around the Boom Festival areas, such as the Dancefloor, the ambient Boom, the Conventions & Workshop Zone, the Main Restaurant, Market Area, Baby Boom and all the paths in between, allowing several acts to happen simultaneously.
The second part of producing the Performance Area is the work of gathering previously all the artists that want to participate, organizing them in terms of space and time, giving them the highlight needed, making them being seen by the audience in general.

Workshop Zone
Welcome to the Boom Festival 2004 Workshop Zone....Proposal submissions are now being gathered.
For this year's festival there will be a workshop zone located in the same locale as the presentation/conference area, art gallery, cinema and healing space.
Workshops will be taking place for 4-6 hours throughout each day of the festival and will be facilitated by those interested in volunteering their time and energy towards sharing their knowledge and skills with one another.
Our intentions aim to provide a safe and sentient space where we can expand beyond ourselves, learning new and applied approaches to holistic living and harmonious relationship so as to better navigate through the world during these times.
As a guideline only, such topics and techniques as yoga, dance, permaculture, eco-design, healing, meditation, art, Dreamspell calendrics, culture-building, alternative energy dynamics, altered states, dreamwork, ritual, etc. are the types of workshop we are seeking.
If you are interested in facilitating a 1-1.5 hour workshop related to any of the above topics then please put together a brief outline of what you'd like to do and how you would like to conduct it. Along with this proposal submission, please include your experience with the material you'd like to teach as well as a clear statement of your intentions and what kind of additional equipment you may need above and beyond what you would supply yourself.

We will consider every proposal submitted and do our best to schedule everyone accordingly. Proposals deadline for submissions is the 31st July 2004.

boom boom boom!!~~~ as much as i am a diehard lineup freak..i know the intention and the vibration behind what they are doing is high and it will all come together...you can be sure there will be a mix of all the trances we all love..and there's a good chance itll be in a block you like whether your into super fluff or super bang your head and everything in between...
boom is so much more than a trance party..although the trance party does rock!!!

How to get there
Flights, Bus and Special Boom Transports
Flight:
This is probably the most “comfy” way to come to the Boom Festival, and to visit Portugal.
In Portugal there are 3 international Airports where you can fly too:
· Lisboa (The capital situated at the centre of Portugal). This is the closest airport to the Boom site.
· Porto (North of the country)
· Faro (South of Portugal – in the Algarve). Sometimes here you get the best flight deals from all the major cities in Europe.
If you prefer, you can also fly to Madrid in Spain (an alternative if you rent a car at the airport).
Bus or Train:
If are coming from Europe and on a low budget, this is probably your second best way to get to Portugal.
There are several bus and train companies from all over Europe that have Lisboa in their destination books. Just enquire in your local international Bus & Train office.

By Car:
From Lisboa:
Take the A-1 highway to Porto. At km 93 take the exit Nº 7 to Abrantes / Torres Novas. Then follow the A23 / E806, direction Castelo Branco / Guarda.
On the A23 at km 138,5 take the exit to Lardosa. Then on the roundabout after exiting the highway follow directions to Idanha-a-Nova.
A few km after you pass Oledo (on the road N-353) and just at the entry of Idanha-a-Nova, turn left, to P-A-Velha / Penamacor. After 4,5 km turn right at the sign Barragem.
From Porto:
Take the A-1 highway to Lisboa. After about 45 km, take the exit to Viseu / Guarda on the IP-5. When you arrive in Guarda take the highway A23 / E806, direction Castelo Branco / Torres Novas / Abrantes.
On the A23 at km 75,5 take the exit to Lardosa. Then on the roundabout after exiting the highway follow directions to Idanha-a-Nova.
A few km after you pass Oledo (on the road N-353) and just at the entry of Idanha-a-Nova, turn left, to P-A-Velha / Penamacor. After 4,5 km turn right at the sign Barragem.
You will be driving in small roads witch cross several small villages. So please drive carefully and enjoy the surroundings.
