this is not about the scene in the diff' countries but about the MUSIC....
which is your no.1 country for trance these days or for times passed?????
if i have to pick 1 only i guess it would be Germany with the OLD music from X-Dream Planet B.E.N, M.O.S, Haldolium etc. etc. and NEW music from Trioptimum(mantik,morja,tiny),Native Radio,Archaic Labor and many more great artists
second place would be shared between Denmark and Sweden with Kox Box and Atmos(old stuff),krumelur,Genetic Spin,Shaman,Puttimutten,Cujorius One,Meeloo and many more.
and the up comming country is no doubt....
Australia with Unreal music from Sensient and Sun Control Species.
What do u think?

i have to agree with evry word nomolos wrote and to add swiss to this list also with some great prog releases!!
theres some great music coming from israel also but its in much small numbers compering to the "not so great" music that release here over and over again

Israel today...
Israel tomorow...
I just love psy from israel, of course some aren't taht good...but i would say about 70-80% of my favourite bands are from israel

people...ofcourse there are many great releases from allmost every country that has trance...the thread is about which is THE BEST OVER ALL and because of WHICH ARTISTS old and new 
have a nice TRIP.

I think its really meaningless to divide the artists according to where they are based and try to find a country which is the best for trance. trance is meant to be borderless and doesnt matter whatever part of the earth it is based. but thats just me, you may have a different opinion.

I think there often is a 'style' associated with a country.. like 'israeli full-on' or 'german tech-trance' etc.
the whole task of picking the 'best overall' psy country seems a bit silly, though. |

You are right, israeli is typical full on, and german typical more to the progressive side
But for example israel and south africa are both more full-on, but the characteristic style is very diferent from each other...
I find very interesting that ppl in same countrie do similar type of trance (with their diferencies and exceptions of course), but is there an explanation for that? Its a bit off topic, but why does it happen? Is it influences, the culture?  |
