1. The Krembo was born about 200 years ago in Denmark.
2. Its made its entrance to Israel about 40 years ago with the help of several conditures.
3. its hebrew name derives from the combination of the words krem and bo (cream, in it)
4. In 1966 the Whitman company started to market Krembo in Israel and they are responsible for its name. 13 years later, Whitman was acquired by Strauss, that succeeded to conquer since a %54 portion from the Krembo market.
5. You cannot enjoy Krembo all year round: the season when its marketed offically starts in October and continues only to February.
6. Despite the short consuming season, the Israelis rush any Krembo they can find: every winter over 50 million Krembos are sold.
7. An average Israeli eats 9 Krembos a season.
8. The most common flavor of Krembo in Israel is Vanilla, followed by Mocha, which started its production in 1967.
9. The weight of a Krembo is 25g, and it contains 115 K/calories.
10. From a study done by Strauss, 69% of the Israelis prefer to eat their Krembo from the top; while only 10% start from the biscuit, the rest it would seem it does not matter.
:editorial - Krembo is my reason for living.... i easily eat 1 day if i'm in Israel in the winter, i do not eat any other brand but Strauss, the other ones are cheap imitations... i will not try the strawberry one, and i dont like the choclate or mocha.... Vanilla is the best! and i love eating the choclate shell first, then all the cream then the biscuit

I haven't Krembo'd for almost 2 years now.
I guess i don't have any Krembo dependancy what so ever.

I miss Krembos so bad 
Someone needs to start importing them to the USA. I bet they would make a fortune. |

* just it eat from the top to the bottom
* i eat few a day when i'm in the army
* haven't seen banana flavored krembo's in years, but i remember it existed though
