Someone needs to post about this guy, so I will. Have any of you heard his music?! Unreal. My favorite producer from San Francisco. FanTAStic production skills, knows Logic like the back of his hand, suuuuper bottom-heavy, booty shakin' bass and an endless supply of sicky synth sounds. Phew. Someone PLEASE sign this guy to a label already!!! Seriously, watch out, this guy is going places.

i am absolutely agreed with you! Chromatone - Tormential Ferversion is one of my favorite tracks very deep psychedelic and nice production! Dunno who stands behind this project but ide shake this mans hand he is genious! |

Either way, get ready to wait. Vaporvent is a great label with unmatched top quality releases, but they seem to only be able to put out about 1 CD a year.

LOL, I like that I started this thread in 2003! Lawrence Hoffman (Chromatone) has come a long way since I was turned on to his music years ago. Co-owner of Vaporvent Records (who also have me as a label DJ  ), he has been blasting dancefloors all over Europe for the past couple of years. I'm sure his future is still rising, and look forward to seeing his music infect more and more people.
The latest track of his (Chromatone vs Beyond), which you can listen to on the Vaporvent MySpace page below, is pretty amazing. I like the new direction he's been going, and his side projects like Morphonix and collaborations with people like Random and Earthling always make my ears smile.
