I don't know a whole lot, but Bug Funk is one of the few Japanese producers I have heard of. They make crazy music (hysterical is a better word), and they are playing with Penta on the 24th of April. Check out the Penta posting for details.

upcoming new... hmm...
Drap Drop for sure!
Theoreme
thats about all I know...
I think there is a reason for this lack of japanese artists. Maybe its the language barrier... Also theres so many international artists that, none of the organizers are willing to sponser domestic artists...
a big problem for the japanese trance producers.

hi hikari, i don't want to be rude, but i don't think it has anything to do with language. i just haven't heard very much that is interesting or original come out of the japanese trance scene. if there were trance artists in japan as good as the ones i book from germany or sweden or england, i would book them. but unfortunately after tsuyoshi left the trance scene, i don't see much talent here. there are some amazing japanese producers in others genres of electronic music, but not in trance.

but there is one upcoming japanse producer in the progressive house scene that i like a lot: OMB. he's starting to get some attention from international club dj's who play more serious sounds.
