i dunno if this is related to here.....
but how can i transfer videos from an ordinary video camera to the computer?

If it's a digital camera with a DV output, you can use a 1394 (FireWire) port from your motherboard, which is something you probably do not have, unless you have a very very new computer.
If it's ordinary (like you said), there are some expansion cards which allow to receive analog video data to the computer (my ATI Radeon has this feature).

u need a so-called "frame grabber".
this is a video card feature + software.
this means u need your card to have TV/Video in socket.

You can buy a cheap 300 NIS TV Card and grab in nice 800*600 Resolution or even higher if you'll be lucky. Just be sure not to buy Life View Cards they are buggy. Buy ATI. Good Luck
