Care to explain why you dislike these Promotional videos? Critique is always welcome. Rating without any argumentation can not really be taken serious.

Well I am not making a comment of the music track, purely the visual part and how it complements the music.
A fancy slideshow doesn't really cut it for me, its like a scripted montage of other people's images, though you got an extra point for the nice transitions. Though if they were better synch'd to the music etc, you would of easily got a slightly higher score.
Certainly I will also give credit, that they are better than the average youtube music videos you tend to see, and have a nice polished feel about them.
So after a "review", lets say 4/10 for the first one, 4.5/10 for the second.
My "critic's qualification" come from having done psychedelic videos full time, as well as Vj'ing for the passed ten years, and over 1,000,000 views of my videos on youtube, incase you thought I was being merely provocative.

Ok fine with me but these are "promotional" videos and obviously not professional videos (Show me who can afford a professional video). It's just a showcase of the music and the photos do tell the vision of the music and it's title.
I did not think you were provocative but I just thought a rating without any comment is rather useless

A promotional video, imho, should enhance your music, not let it down.
I would of offered my services myself, but I am backed up for the next year doing videos for friends.
I look forward to seeing your next video.
P.s. I decided to offer a mere rating at first, and a longer critique if asked, as I intend to try and keep this up as a regular feature on the promotional videos.

I don't think those promo videos let the music down.On the contrary they support the music. It's a matter of taste of course. My taste is not toward fractals and computer generated patterns which i think is highly overrated and overused. I've seen such videos the last 20 years and has grown very tired of such videos. I rather use pictures which i feel support the message in the music.

I concur about the subjective taste of the visuals, its similar I guess to the music.
Though I am curious to asking why you think it "overrated", for example the shapes, symbols and motifs, particularly of a pattern-forming nature mostly come from my direct personal experience. Its the stuff I actually see when in "those spaces".
Certainly I would concur that it has been "overused" as such, but equally like any genre, or style, one could say the same for EDM, psytrance, chillout, rock n roll, etc etc...
People like a mix of the "familar and unknown", just enough to thrill them, but not be completely outside of their reality tunnel.
I would also say that I have seen more videos, of people using other people's footage, or montages of photos, or even worse, just a static picture on youtube, than actually properly made videos. At least to a ratio of 20:1 if not more.
Anyway all I guess I am trying to do, is get you put a little more time and effort into your next video.
Which is to say that effort wise, "your" videos are certainly a notch or two above most of the other stuff out there, and I wouldn't put it in the "crap category".
But this has made me think that perhaps it would be more fair and considerate, to award three marks, one for the video, one for the music, and one for the interplay between the two.
Thanks again for talking, and engaging, and being open to discussion about "your" videos.

The reason why I think fractals and 3D (I am not talking about big budget movies here) is "been there done that" because:
1. I have seen it since 1991 and nothing is really new any longer.
2. Most is not impressive when you compare it to big budget movies. Therefore it become mediocre.
3. The concept is outdated and overused to a point where its getting annoying (my opinion of course).
Obviously I would love to be able to afford making real and professional Music Videos but that's utopia in our scene. But if I could I would make Video's in the direction of this:

Fair comment, and one deserving of a full reply, which I will get around to.
If you want a video like that, I can easily do you one, the thing that it requires is "coordination" to do the shots, storyboarding and talking about beforehand, and then "location shooting", none of which costs per se. The only thing that costs, is to get a hold of a proper HD camera (I have a HD camera, not a broadcast quality one however, which would make a visual difference).
It is very easy and doable, I suggest probably finding your local film and video group and making friends.
