i've never tried it, but i'd really like to.

it would be ace to be able to lie down on a comfy sofa with trackball in one hand and a baby midi controller in the other and still see the screen comfortably

i think there are two things that i'd want to check out tho - first, can you remove / disable the 'build in earplugs', and secondly can you tell if someone is creeping up behind you? lol

i did see a version where each earplg had a 1/8th inch jack and could be unplugged Id just be worried about a vision killing effect you know kinda like sitting too close to the TV I know i never needed glasses till about a year after i started multimedia school and music production. Might be cool to break them out at a party too and play visuals in them.

as far as people sneaking up you would have to buy the locust horde perimiter function option which can be pretty pricey but its very sensitive so you know you are safe invisible fence technology was developed just for this option so if your cat comes in or a piece of lint or even if you move slightly you get angry locusts that way you know you are safe.

Less than 1280X1024 resolution... not enough for me to get interested. Plus I like to be able to look away from the screen from time to time!           Mastering - http://mastering.OOOD.net :: www.is.gd/mastering

thats pretty cool. i would be worried about killing my eyes though too. really the coolest thing is for that price decent virtual reality can't be that far away.

for the price i guess still though, you could just add on 2 other 19 inch wide screens, thats more than enough room.

I don't want to put anything on . I want to roam around, glance out the window and put a phone to my ear without bashing into a giant VR helmet I'm wearing. Anyway, if you're attached to your work, you can't look away!?

I'd much rather have 3D screens http://www.inition.co.uk/inition/product.php?URL_=product_stereovis_seereal_c-class&SubCatID_=1
