Didn't know where to ask this so thought i'd put it in here..I need to do some work for my university which basically involves editing and making videos..Does anyone know any softwares that are easy to use and get into?
So far i've been recommended U-Lead video studio & Pinnacle studio..I haven't done this before so i need a software that isn't that complicated..Thanks for any recommendations!

Your choices are mostly Avid and Vegas. Avid comes with fantastic plug-ins, but Vegas has full support for VST effects. So if you care to use your Vst's then go for Vegas.

Don't underestimate Premiere, especially CS3. It's my NLE of choice. The BBC have also moved over to it for all their editing work. I can't stand Macs, so I don't particularly like working with Final Cut....Avid has a very strict workflow, things can only be done one way (which works, because it prevents any crashes or different standards of editing workflow.) |
