Well there they are. I don't like to judge something before I hear it in full but I only have one thing to say about this. Looks like someone is trying to keep too many people happy.

I appreciate the fact they are branching out and doing something new, lord knows they are not that relevant to the psy secene of today, but from what I heard the album doesnt work. It sounds like a collection of new pop-metal tracks with left overs from 'IM the supervisor' played inbetween.
It will be very interesting to see how these new IM style tracks will fit into a live show.

The sad thing is I bet I would have loved this 10 years ago .

So what do you think?

to be honest i dont mind at all!

they do what they think its better for them and they are advancing in they own way!

at least they have musical skills and its all over that album!

the vocal work isnt that bad and the guitar parts are that american alternative/pop style !

i dont judge it by my own likes cause i dont like that style much... if they want to do something like that they need to listen to alot of tool/korn/system of a dawn before they are in that league!

but i like they are going in new musical places and explore different genres afterall music is to explore and advance if u stand still on one style u get to be boring and repetitive !

You see I quite like korn, SOAD and Il nino who are quite similar to IM's metal style (wouldn't utter tool in the same sentence thats progressive and completely different). I also liked the "IM the supervisor" style. But lyrically there's nothing in this for starters I just can't see the logic in how these tracks work as an album. It's like they are trying to make 2 worlds collide and going about it the wrong way. In my experience most mainstream metal fans don't seem to care for 4 on the floor dance music, but probably wouldn't mind something more breaky and uptempo a la prodigy or something similar.

I think they have to realise they don't belong too much to psy trance anymore and really cut themselves free to do their own thing, rather than trying to latch onto a fan base where they feel that they have a safe hold.

So yeah this one's still in the making.

Soulman, I agree with you, sure. But just don't compare it to much with SOAD and KoRn.
Linkin Park (which I do like) and POD ect are better comparesents. lalala

Tool is in a luege way beyond all the above mentioninings

Point taken. Not downtuned and dirty enough to be korn and not random and aggressive yet spiritual enough to be SOAD .

comparing this to korn is a joke. korn make excellent songs and everything fits togather.

i agree with doughcherry, its terrible. its like they are trying to combine britney spears dance pop with some shitty pop metal band and then trance.

Wow well at least I laughed sometimes when I listened to this album which is better than most of what is going on these days. Are you sure they are not taking the piss and also taking risks? It may be high concept and alsmost cheap but at least taking risks and exploring. I think things are turning around a bit, moving in some ways towards a more strong sound again. Maybe not yet but it takes guts to be so exposed and at the same time take a risk by not being predictable. Even if it dosen't work (I don't think it really does) they don't have to get it right all the time do they? Maybe that is somthing that make's me not completely turn my back on these guy's and still check to see what they are up to. Respect! (and i am sure they will make enough money anyway no matter what we all think)
