and waiting and waiting and waiting

nt all sure if it even will get released cos after all this time every frikken trader has every track already, so kinda makes it hard to release an albumwhen everybody has every track already. so whose fault is it...?! first of all the so called friend of the artists who leak the tracks in the first place, they should be shot. no mercy for those fuckers...

Brian is kinda very dissapointed by that also and besides that he is more interested in other music than psy lately so if there will be a full album, not even sure if it will be psytrance.
anyway i love this music, no matter what it is

just gets time that some people in the psytrance scene start to show some more respect for the artists, traders an,nd djs mostly the same persons kinda start to think a bit too much they are the stars...

sad..

ps: vicious sp. will normally release 2 tracks on my upcoming comp. one psytrack and one jazzy track i think

He only had one track released so far? That's a damn shame.

Funkki, a small question about the disapointment: how come so many of this guy's trax ended on the Internet? there are 2 original sources for it - the artist and the label.
If the artist gave his trax away to people - why is he disapointed? its his fault.
If the LABEL gave his trax away - well, that's a completely different story, isn't it?

I dont come to throw any mud here, just to make a point that the artists and labels have a hand in music trading - either by artists giving away their music to friends (meaning people outside the 'professional' side), or labels giving out music that was handed to them as promotional material. Either way, its still in our hands.

helen i completely agree with u !! and yes those two u mentionned are the main probs... and about the dissapointment well its sad if u even cant trust ur friends right or the label u send ur demos too? where does it stop then? i know for many years now the musicbusiness is hard , whatever style u into , and that there is almost no one u can trust anymore but where did it start? and about the race for unreleased tracks, its weird but this almost only happens in psytrance.. why? for me i think the reason is , psytrance requires not much talent to dj so to differ from the rest u have to get the newest and coolest tracks, instead of showing off ur ability to spin.
but to get back about the dissapointment, i make music myself also and i like sending my own tracks to my friends for sure, if they spread then i can indeed only blame myself... and ye prolly most artists are to blame themselves for trusting people too easily.. but what can u do? tell everyone u can trust noone? ok in a way maybe smart but like in all things its not nice if u stand on ur own also all the time isnt it.. people need support and some tracks to get spread to get known by the people but where does it stop?..

anyway the best solution according to me is if u give tracks away , always make different versions to whomever u give, even to labels, write down how they are different from eachother , and if tracks end up spread then u can very easily verify who u cant trust and nail the "bastard" sorry for my language

dude

make some more tracks, then, and don't give them to ANYONE. your old tracks will give you great publicity, like Helen said in the other thread, and then everyone will buy the album.

and let's stop bitching because it doesn't get anywhere.

dimitry i know but wasnt talking about myself, i dont care about my stuff too much, i like as many as possible to hear my music, and thats not goiing to be on a cd but on the net.... so i put all i make on the net, never final versions though but anyway i think even people who dont think like this also end up giving their music to some people.. will always happen i think

and ye ur right, no reason to bitch, no fun,
lets all think pink now           ill push u over the edge, and will be smiling when u cant take anymore, at that point ill push a little harder till u experience true psychdelica

labels giving tracks to other labels for "checking how our future release rules". labels are traders!           Anakoluth A Pebble in Your Eardrum's Shoe since 2001!
