The topic started with talking about recording live sets.
This is Ok as long as the artist has agreed to that. Agreeing to such a thing should be agreeing to limitations and or understanding that once the recorder has that MD / DAT he is free to use it as he wishes.
Trading music violating copyright laws is illegal no matter if it came from a CD or a promo or a set or an LP or whatever.
Now, fighting is something I don't like here, so either continue in a civilized way, on the subject or get the heck away from here. Capish???

I read all this and there is definatelly something missing on the main subject and on the latter off-topic:
-On live/set recording: checking only the mixer does not prevent at all anything of being recorded. There are plenty more places to get the musical data from. (at pretty good quality)
-On the "fuck the trade mafia": Here I'll use a quote from a guy that is a sort of godfather of us all:

If you change the noun "substances" for the term "unreleased tracks" you get the idea of what I'm talking about.
Most people think they have the right to have access to all kind of stuff. Which in a way is true cos we're all humans... and even more if you believe that "information wants to be free".
But you should be able to have access to such things by the time the track is released. Unless you have contacts. Is it bad to have connections? Can one be blamed to do so? Artists should take care of their beloved work.

its a Crime ! but i know what ever we say... its will not help ...

I think I was misunderstood in a point somewhere.
I don't support such kind of activities. I was just pointing out that there are many spots one can leak a dj set or live performance.
With the knowing of the organisers, one couldn't even spot if there is or there is not such device filtering your sweat into scotch... soon available on the net. |

OK,
You guys wanna fight- go somewhere else.
You wanna talk about recording live sets of people without their premission and how bad a thing that is- you're welcomed to do that again in a respectful way and according to the guidelines (above you in pink)
The extra testosteron and hormones you're welcomed to try and take out in front of the screen using another kind of websites. Or go do Karate or Kong Fu.
