I recently reformatted my computer, and I have a Music account and a Everything Else account.
I only have Internet Explorer on my music account, which means that even if I want to browse the internet it's a painful experience 
When I had everything on one account, it was easy for me to hit the chrome button, go to isratrance or xkcd or pennyarcade or google news or psymusic or nw-psy, or any of the other sites I frequent and I would end up browsing when I was wanting to make music.
Putting that restriction in place has been really helpful and focusing for me. I know a bunch of producers who don't have their studio computer hooked up to the internet at all.
