Very strange audio crash in Cubase 4. Please help !

Hi there
I have a big problem. I bought Cubase 4 two months ago, which i use with a Presonus Firebox on my Macbook (Intel).
Everything worked perfectly to these days but now i'm in front of something that i cannot resolve.
In fact, i launch my project, everything works fine, no audio drops or what, but when the cursor arrives to a certain point (241.3 to be precise) the CPU load becomes crazy and the audio is incredibly distorded (with drops, pops, crashes and everything). When i restart my song, everything is normal until i run over this point.
No automations, no plugin shit or something peculiar is programmed at that point, it is totally weird.
I don't know what to do, i reinstalled my audio drivers, reinstalled C4, ran cleaning utilities on my computer but nothing better happened.
Please heeeeeeelp !! |

i tried...
ppl have similar problems but not the same...
I also tried to contact tech steinberg and presonus tech support.
I post here just to see if someone has the same problem. |

I doubt that in this case anything to do with updates would help....emm maybe your hdd is not healthy? It's sounds typo as your hdd has bad sectors, run test and also try to defrag it.
