So I was making this song today and yesterday, and I decided to add some vocals, but last night instead of using the headphones I just left the studio monitors on...

So, there was the vocal track with the music in the background of the vocal track, and it gave the overall track a chorus'd effect, that kind of filled in the sound, so I re-did the vocal tracks today and tried to put a very light chorus effect over the master channel.

Has anyone done this and will it cause phasing problems? Because it sounds pretty cool, almost unnoticeable, but fuller.           www.musicproductionnatural.com || www.facebook.com/djamoeba | facebook page

yeah, it gave the track a chorus'd effect, then I decided to re-record the vocals so they were clean and add the chorus after.           www.musicproductionnatural.com || www.facebook.com/djamoeba | facebook page

I'd say if it creates phasing problems, the worse should be in the kick&bass lane.

If it was me I would just leave the kick&bass out of that chorus effect.

A good idea to do in the breaks of your song it to tweak around with the chorus fx parameters, for example slightly increasing the feedback and screwing up the time, and then go back to the original configuration.           Super Banana Sauce http://www.soundcloud.com/knocz

lol bitcrusher over master channel for the pro sound.

I'll check in mono and try leaving the kick and bass out of the chorus effect. Maybe i'll upload part of it on here so you guys can here the difference.           www.musicproductionnatural.com || www.facebook.com/djamoeba | facebook page

If you're just trying to get a fuller sound, how about a short delay? If you're an ableton user, filter delay with the delay amount in ms does the job quite nicely.           http://soundcloud.com/ascensionsound

This. Works great on ALL SORTS of stuff. Automating the delay in MS up from 1-10 and 10-1 on left/right channels at the same time is really trippy            If you want to make an apple pie from scratch...you must first invent the universe

I think by definition a chorus effect will adding phasing problems, since it's just a phaser with a long delay time.

I cut the delay down on the chorus effect so it's really minimal - so it's basically like a very short delay, but i will try that too cuz I bet the delay plug has shorter delays to try.           www.musicproductionnatural.com || www.facebook.com/djamoeba | facebook page

bx control at the end of the chain , set mono sum between 120-500 whatever sounds good then ya can never go wrong with putin whant ya want on master for wide effect with no worries of phasing

google Bx control, i love it , always use it when experimenting on master channel
