hi guys,

im looking for good drum samples/kits for my (progressive) productions. not that often bad sounding freeware stuff!!!
currently im using NI battery3 but i dont like their drum stuff anymore. imho they sound to analog or not clear enough ... cannot explain ... and the snares and hats are ... imho(!).
so im looking for good quality samples especially hats/crashes AND snares.
kicks i'll still do own my own

so are there any good (payware) kits out there? something pro stuff e.g.?

thx!

even a dry well recorded 909 openhat sound better than what you get in lot of sample cd to me, samples are degraded with riping and/or processing , get the cristal clear source you can get(often it s one with no processing at all ) and then process it according to your other sounds in the track

Dre ripped his beats from old mix tapes, so that'd probably be ok           http://soundcloud.com/ascensionsound

Nowdays... if you want PRO sounds like you asked.

Be proffesional and start making your own! Thats what I do. 88.2Mhz at 24Bit.

I have all vengeance samples and many ripped from internet like Thomas Penton Essentials. Nothing is better then making your own. EXCEPT if you want it to sound like a real instrument. I study Sound Design... and want to make any sound that I hear in my head within seconds on my synth. Cause I never find the right sounds in the samples. Maybe some think I am crazy. But if there is any chance to get proffesional I know wich path to choose.

I dunno, yornav, I go by the mentality of not inventing the wheel twice. If you have good sounding sample packs that work well in your music, there's not much point to making your own other than for practice/self satisfaction. I personally don't like making percussion so I let someone else do it .           http://soundcloud.com/ascensionsound
