vegetarianism=non violence/show of sympathy/compassion/love...
non`vegan=aggressive/bloodthirsty/violent instincts
this is what some of the neo vegan converts told me when i asked them the same question..
however i begged to differ as i am definitely not vegan(always enjoyed a juicy steak!!) and do not exhibit any of the above qualities.
PETA has always urged people to look the other way as according to them the animals are shoddily treated and bred in pathetic conditions..
mebbe its got to do with associating oneself with a fad..
but on a more serious note, for me after a party i generally hav lotsa juice and fruits bcoz it makes me feel good coz if i hav some spicy chicken curry it sure is gonna play havoc on my internals reelin under the effex of elesdee

I've seen not that many, most of ppl i know do the meat, well in Israel, kosheer meat bit diffferent since by Judaism animals killed without getting feared so probably all adrenalin which can be responsible for aggression is close to zero.
Although, Vegetarians for me are!
Stupidness factor imho, i see 90% vegeterians as slim, white-green faced, angry, poor bastards who feed themselfs with turnips and nuts.
For fuck sake, don't write their lame arguments in here. They want to eat vegetables, go for it, there is no scientifical or moral justification to your actions. Just do whatever you want since it doesn't bother/hurt anyone.
Muhahaha, where is my pork steak? |

well thank you Willy
I'm a vegeterian (nor fish ether) and I won't describe myself as you just did for me...
Becoming vegeterian was a decision made long time ago, with nothing to do with psytrance (which just didn't exist when I was 14) and therefore it's hard for me to say how it relates...
However, I became one from several reason, one of them must be the Karma issue - like I wouldn't like to hurt my friends, or other people by disrespecting them, or my home, or my environment, or the water we all drink, or the birds and the fish and the animals around me (and I quit killing the cockroaches since India showed me how to live peacefully with my neighbors ).
The history factor is here as well, since I'm not denying mankind is predators from early ages, but living in a Kibbutz most my life and seeing how animals are grown up, seeing how they're treated in their life, and seeing the Jewish way of slaughtering them (not without any fear, I can tell you that...), has made me think we can do better...
Maybe this sacrifice is a little too much for many people around the globe, and I'm not asking anyone to become one, but since I'm the one cooking most of my food, I know my nutritious and how to keep myself fit and well, I can surely handle the diet, and am actually feeling a lot healthier without meet in my life.
Now as for psytrance....
I've been in this scene long enough to see it changing, and am not saying it has to with PLUR any more, but somewhere inside I must still believe it's a true thing, and that with love and respect for all around us it's our power to make the world just little, tiny bit, tini tiny bit better
And my last point here, is that your money - my money, is the only way to influence the market. Weather I buy and eat meet, weather I wear leather and use non-environmental or animal tested products - this is where my money goes... this is my power in the market, and so is my way of influencing...
Never buying Castro ever again....

Man that was definitely very very sick video. I am non vegetarian tho, but unless I need to eat meat ( which I like and being a carnivore I see no reason to stop ) I try not to hurt my surrounding lifeforms without need except 2 lifeforms - Mosquitoes and a certain type of insects that eat my cat's food.

I think there's a certain mental/spiritual clarity that comes when a person is careful about what they put in their body.

i personally decide/quit meat a while ago i'd say when i was 15, i m 21 now, its been 6 years and i started just like the most of us with red meat and then moving forward with the fish and poultry making the last step just a couple of years ago of becoming vegan* no dairy/no egg on a daily basis and all this is all about a personal choice i took for many reasons that i m not gonna argue or debate with no one because i see it pointless more or less like politics or sports..... it is just a personal change that comes from the inside thats how i see it.........

I am with Nik on this. I'm ok with eating fresh caught fish because they are captured instead of being kept in horrible conditions all of their lives and never once having freedom (I know some fish are farmed but if I know it is farmed I will not eat it). Lobster and crab I will not eat because they are boiled alive.
I do, however love violent art, games, sports, etc. Those things don't actually hurt people, except in the case of sports which is completely consensual.

yes that is true, yogis want to purify body, mind, soul, and specially when a yogi wants to practise pranayama(breath control)and reach the samadhi state, then have to give up with meat, eggs, fish, onions, because those food stop the progress in that meditation techniches.
why in our scene?they are everywhere.

that peta video makes me sooo sad ....fucking sick bastards ....coincidently even i was thinking of turning vegetarian a few days back, which i attribute to being influenced by the whole karma concept...but i soon realised after eating non veg food for almost 2 decades its gonna be damn tough to give up meat or poultry food ....i think iam gonna try kin beats method .....but iam 99% sure even if i leave non veg for sometime ill be back on it real soon ....cant help it meat tastes killarrgh ....
but being veg or nveg for me has very little to do with music in general .....
