Hello out there. This is my first post here.. I have heard so much about this VB-1... I have noticed that this is not avaiable for Mac OSX. Anyone here know if its being ported to OSX.
I did see a product that they are releasing soon called Virtual Bassist. does anyone know if this will be bale to obtain the same sound?

Well just for those out there who may be searching for this solution. What I have found is that the VB-1 is indeed available on OSX platform. It is within Cubase SX & SL. It does not seem that you can use them withing any other sequencers at this moment.

you can use it with any VST host. just copy it to the right VST folder.

not all vst host , logic dont let this files beegin in use , i have vb1 osx and even if i wrape in my FX spansion , nothing ,,, simply does work ,, i cubase it work in outher i dont know , depending if they only work in AU or VST ..
but for the same job that vb1 makes , if u dont use logic , use audio realism bassline , or if u use logic use sculpture to make bass ... i make all kind of bass in there ,, and i dont change it for nothing ahahah even for vb1 ekeke

hi people
to use the VB-1 on logic you need a dinky prog called VstAuConfigure - search the net (I found it on limewire). It converts vst to Au so that logic can read it...
to get the VB-1 out of cubase
1. do a control&click on the application
2. select "show package contents"
3. follow this path - contents/vstplugins/synths
4. pick up the VB-1 & put it in your vst folder

hey there ajja  all u said is correct and the program u are talking is FXspansion vst to au configure , and it works with lots of plugs but vb1 just doesn't wrappe eheheh its to bad since i was a big user of vb1 ,
but this is for jrob i have a particularry vb1 running on logic its almost the same
i have put the vb1 on one pc , and i have puted the note in the matric editor in c3 and i put this values on the vb1 machine...
decay 16
piick up 0
pick 0
released 98
hamon 4
volume -1db
after u put this values or the ones u like more , make a bounce of the bassline , open in spark or peak cut one of the riff of thebassline , then add it to exs24 when u are creating the instrument
in the zone part u will need to change the keynote , it will be like b1 , u will need to put it in c1 ,
and enjoy the near vb1 plugin running in L7 eeheh
or u can use too audio realism bassline

strange, i did this & it worked... hmm
was your VB-1 from cubase or did you get it somewhere else? try taking it out of cubase like i did... maybe it works. I used the one from cubase sx 1.4

well im going chek that now ahahah , if it work just like u saying would be a great help , but a big shit in L7 is that if the plugins u were using in previous Logic version were VST now in L7 running only AU u will have this message , coreaudio "VST" not found ,
its happening with me in some lso files made on PC logic 5.5 they were some pro53 fx on it , yesterday i try to open in L7
and it say he dont find the pro53fx ,, and i have it installed .. but now they belong to AU or midi FX :q

apple coule think on does issues , its a shame they didnt think in such thing .
if somebody whant to make a new master of a old track ... ehehe u are fucked up ..
my chance was reking the lso files from the tracks i whanted to remasted , in a cd to open in friends home , to rek the VST in audio to use them in logic , or try to copy the presets of the vst then open in logic adding the midi fx or AU vst's
well but ill chek that ajja thk for the tip
