I'm using an intel mac with ableton live, I want to make my basslines with vb-1
I couldn't make a good bassline whith other synth
where can I download it?
I need to purchase cubase? what version?
what other synth is good for psychedelic basslines

Pretty much anything that produces a sawtooth!
Sample each note so its the same every time (for fast 16ths)
Eq
touch of overdrive maybe..
Done.

Program some 16th notes around C1 octave range (or C0 or C2) depending on your tastes.
Set Filter to Lowpass, turn all the way down. Turn Filter envelope amount all the way down.
Turn Attack/Decay/Sustain/Release of volume all the way down.
Now bring up your decay on the volume envelope a bit.
Now bring up your filter a bit.
You should start to hear the note, low and short.
Keep bringing up the decay and the filter.
Add some resonance.
When your bass notes have enough thump, start using the filter envelope. Turn up the Filter envelope amount some. tweak the Attack and Decay settings on the filter envelope so that the filter is swinging open a little bit on each bass note. Set the Sustain/release of the filter envelope to 0.

VB1 is included in Cubase SE for mac which also runs on a intel mac peace |

what frequence you recomend to attenuate? I dont have good monitors
