Ya, the sound architecture of all the tracks is amazing !

'Kalitz' really works as a deep magical journey. Highly atmospheric.

Just like 'Falling through the Earth', 'Places I Miss That I Haven't Been To', 'Dream Wide Awake' and 'Everyday Life', 'Kalitz' is another brilliant release from Aleph Zero that doesn't get all the attention it deserves.

Hauntingly beautiful ambient atmospheres and intricate downtempo tech-electronica designs. Otherworldly, dark, mysterious, mystical and imaginative.

Amazing production.

Cheers !

How many reviews do you write per album? Just kidding.
It´s amazing. I agree.

Great album. Huge shimmering walls of drifting alien sounds. Has that "dream sequence" in some dark magical forest kind of feel to it, IMO.

Maybe part of why it didn't garner as much attention were it's claims that it would change ambient/psybient/whateverbient as we know it. So people either dismissed it or it didn't live up to expectations. Otherwise, I'd just say it was too different for those who like their chill in a very specific range of sounds and structures. It's funny, how fans of obscure artists/music styles can be just as picky and non-adventurous as those who listen to more mainstream fare.

It's dreary and rainy out here today. Think I'll make this the soundtrack for my drive to clients.

Well, I don`t even think, that it didn`t get enaugh attention. The number of posts in this topic is no value for the recognisation by the scene. If I remeber right a lot of people listed this album in there top of 2009 charts one year back.
Btw: the music makes me think, that Edward Ka-Spel from the Legendary Pink dots could start singing every second.
Cheers

I think you mean 2008

And I agree, the number of posts here don't reflect the general picture. I meant didn't get all the attention it deserves HERE.

I think that a lot of the good and more creative stuff doesn't get enough attention here. But that's cool, makes it more intimate.

Such a wonderful album, incredibly trippy.

Fairy-tale-like and dreamy atmospheres. Surreal stuff. A vision of a forest on a brilliant summer day is evoked, but there's something amiss in the picture. There's an element of the trickster in it, a mischievous influence.

Lovely production, marvelous sounds for the coming spring.
