The track Sensient – Inhuman have samples from Balde Runner:

"They were designed to copy humans in every way, except their emotions.
But the designers reckoned that after a few years...
...they might develop their own emotional responses.

Hate, love, fear, anger, envy.
So they built in a fail-safe device.
- Which is what?
- Four-year life span."

And from 2001 - A Space Odissey.

"I know that you a were planning to disconnect me...
...and I'm afraid that's something I cannot allow to happen."

Great track!
Respect!           .
...Be gentle with the earth...
...Dance like nobody's watching...
.
...I don't mind not going to Heaven, as long as they've got Coffee in Hell...

well, i thought diffrently
i dont know what album u all litsend to but i was very disapointed.
the precox and the two sensients sounded so regular and shalow. im soory but i realy expected more from this two artists. im used to the preacox heavy kicking groove and sensients apathetic sub rythems. what i got in this album - in my opinon - is regular cheezy wanna be tech prog.
all the rest was kynda tierd and not too much interesting.

i gues the navajo was the highlight of this album.

just for exampel , Preacox - Noye Frizur << what a kick ass track , the groove the rythem the bass line. sounds so finished changes all the time keeping the track interasting.

cheeeeeerz....

Psy isn't going down the drain just because some artists try different things now and again. I for one think this is the best stuff to come out of the Crotus label so far. Well done compiling this! Sensient and Praecox don't dissapoint me at all here. So the tunes are a bit different than their usual stuff. All the better!! Diversity does not mean the end of a musicstyle. It's perfectly natural!!           "Subconscious unravels at the point of death, and all time it has known erupts into a moment. As death extinguishes us, so we become it."

Mmm dosnt sound like you were trying to be nice m8.....
aso appears to me at least, that you should maybe listen to this Comp a few more times maybe
A very nice and ''diffrent'' release, the only thing i wish was diffrent would be the mastering level....
I canot see how ''it sounds like the rest of everything else'' please give me some examples dude!... Seems with so many cut copy paste releases and cloned full on Psy releases, you cant really get much of a diffrent formula/style than this eh. Big respect to crotus.
Favorite tracks for me, Melloo, Sensient (both), Praecox, Amygdala.
GeZer, its releases like this that keep a nice diversity going with the styles and im all for any releases that push the bounderies abit , and ive yet to see anything released on Crotus that '' sounded exacly like the rest of everything else ''......
Ill be looking forward to V/A Soundscapes Vol 2

hi wiz! Thanks for the kind words m8.....when i compiled this I was trying to make something different compared to the well know scandinavian sound.....like iboga just to make an example. Part 2 will be out in 2005 and we'll try once again to find some tracks that are somewhat different compared to the norm. Demoes are welcome by the way

And congratz on the Enginewitty release wiz....good stuff.

PS Merry Christmas everyone

well it appears to me at least, that you should maybe try listening to some other styles of music before u say that psy is so progresed. how would you know if you dont know anythink else (if you say that thats probably the situation).
for exampel, try litsening to some idm. litsen to the fx and the sounds. the beat can stay 4X4 but have some work on the effects. idm creators work ther ass off for a track and thats why each and every track sounds so full and interating. each sounds is carefully creatad with attention to every littel ditail. im soory but psy wich is the defenition of what interating ever changing music sould sound like just dosent sound like it !

i sew that some of you got me wrong. i dont complain about the artist . i cant tell an artist what to do or to be better. im talking to the lables for not giving the stage for new artist with new ideas. i gues it's just a risk they cant take. thats why evantualy the lables will do what ever in financialy worthy for them but i think that untill they will atlist try to challenge ther audience, they'll never know.

i think that ubar tmar music is original and interasting. Psilodumop is one of my favorit atists (and you should realy try litsening to some of hes techno and elecronic sets and get some idea of psychadlic ideas). serche google if your realy interasted....

I was vert dissappointed with the Navajo track as well as the Genetic Spin track...a little boring. Where's the dark feeling Navajo!? of tracks like "Drag Killer" i want that atmosphere back. As for Genetic's "Sword Fish" track a simple sleeper. Maybe next time...

Hi Clovessmoke, I just read your post and I agree with you.
Compared to our new album Backspin our two latest releases Quiet (Iboga) and Swordfish probably seem like we've returned to a minimal style again but the reason is that both of these tracks were made in the same time as our first album On/Off.
We do continue working hard and develop both style and production of the new album and feel like we've developed a lot, we've worked with other artist amoung others Magus and Silicon Sound and learned a lot this way. Our newest tracks will all be released in year 2005 amoung others a Magus rmx which will be released already next month

About this release I really have to "clap dat up" for Bes and Crotus for keeping the minimal spirit alive - thanx for this release
Happy new year

A bit late, I got it today...It must have been hard to collect these dark minimal trax...hat off to Bes. Nice work, man. Glad to hear previous style of Genetic Spin I love their first album.....honestly I think this guys could have made it better ;-) Wish you guys will produce tracks more like previous style with some twist.
For me Praecox is the best track of this comp. Great!! It seems more like bigwigish to me, but its all good!! He just keeps me amazed on each release. Expect to hear this kind of music more this year.
Tell me what you listen, and I'll tell you what you are.
