Maybe my expectations where to great, but I didn't like this release that much, a bit boring for my taste 7/10. I didn't think this could happen but Freq’s style is boring me lately, Progressive has to be constantly evolving, and I don’t feel his style is changing at all           "Love is a way of life"

I mentioned it in some other thread, FreQ hasn't changed his style since his album! and in my opinion he is releasing too much nowadays.

thought I was alone, apparently not. He will probably regain a unique progressive style soon, hopefully.
Cheers and love to everyone.

Get real, do you really think that progressive music is changing all the time??
To talk about that you will have to mean music in general. FREqs music will also undergo development as time goes, he is just releasing all those tracks he has been producing before and after his album, hes been productive because he has the skills to write something that catches in a high quality.

So called progresive music, what does that mean?? Is it a style or is it something that goes further in development from a point..If its a style then look 7 years back, some people say that progressive came after "Goa" / "psychedelic" trance became "Full-on" and up came scandinavian trance and the "progressive" side, more slower grooves in comparison.

The point is that development in music takes time and if you think progression has to be constant, well then its more fair to look at a period of atleast one or two albums.

I have to say that i respect Aran for the skills and many years of experience with the gear and his outstanding quality is hardly matched.

I'm sorry but I don’t agree that’s why I listen to progressive because it's changing all the time, when I listen to full-on its different (there you have other expectations). I listen progressive as much as I listen to Chillout and slightly less full-on (although the talented full-on artists can be as entertaining as any progressive band just in a different way) but I only really like the artists/releases which are constantly evolving, like Son kite (colours), Vibrasphere (lime structure), Atmos (2brigade) and freq until after the release of his album.
BTW, I have the same principal when listening to chillout.

So basically what you're saying is that, although FREq makes some great quality tracks, you wouldn't like them just because they are similar in style to his latest album?? That's just bullshit and you're looking at music in a totally wrong way. Won't be a lot of music that you DO like then I suppose.

Anyway, good compilation, love the Beat Bizarre track and the Antix remix. The Behind Blue Eyes track suprised me pleasantly too with its vibe. And FREq's work is just quality. So what if it is a lot like his album in style?? It's just about good quality music. Keep it up Iboga!           "Subconscious unravels at the point of death, and all time it has known erupts into a moment. As death extinguishes us, so we become it."

i think is not so bullshit.. first of all his first track i heard was on Sunday Session complation which is 128 bpm melodic massive number, then came few 135 bpm realy good tunes as Return of the masters, then a album which was nice but too melodic for my taste and since then his music became more and more full onish with few 140 trax with mess atmophere which is not my taste at all, for example his remix to Frogacult maked me smile again but more of his latest tunes builed up on same sounds as his old trax and ovelall atmosphere became much more similar to other psy acts.. Still his production is top notch, seems just first trax was too good to be compared to new once. anyway he is great producer for sure, no bullshit.           Believe your soul !

this is a mint album/compilation. Iboga sort it out again

and i don't care if freq is releasing stuff that sounds the same as it did a few months ago. it beats most of the prog stuff that is being released. nuff said.

(artists styles develop slowly, all good (and not so good) groups/artists get into a groove and push it e.g antix has had a similar style for years, GMS, Skazi, dino psaras....etc etc...ad infinitum)

oh yeah, and freq, any freq....if you play it "out", it works...nuff said

zombi, if you are so sick of freQ, why are you letting him remix a track for your own label?

Anyway, i kinda understand that some Freq tracks sound alike, but I don´t really care, they are all cool as hell, that Cosmic Approach track that just came out is just sweet. I do agree that some tracks of the album were a little to melodic, but still a great fucking album.
His only tzrack i really dont like was Time Traveller from the Groove Zone (too full onish), but we communicate from the same comp. made it all up for me.

Oh well, as for this compilation, its my favorite for the year I think, everything with Beat Bizarres involvement is always cool, i was really pleasantly surprised by the Behind Blue Eyes track, the more i listen to it, the more I like it. Also Freq's Blood remix is a real stomper, but I wish he would have kept more of the tweaky atmosphere from the original. The only letdown for me was the Antix mix of Return to the Masters, not bad, but I just expected more.

killer compilation, really really fucking good.

like all the tracks but it's all about the PO for me, that bass line is massive!!!

awaiting more good things from Iboga, can't get enough of that label right now, really pushing the sound i'm enjoying

Let me first just say that I love Iboga and I love Beat Bizarre!! Every release I have from Iboga is great and every track I have from Beat Bizarre is great as well.

This is a very good album. My favorite tracks are:
2, 3 , 4 , 7 & 8.

Track 4 (Behind Blue Eyes - Goose Bump) reminds me of a track that could've been on Platipus Records back in the '95-'98 years. Very old school sounding, IMO.
