This compilation has been released around October 2002 and features previously unreleased stuff (except one or two tracks)

Here's the Tracklisting, first of all

---------------------------------------------
01. CHI-AD ~ Sandestin

02. ZEROTONINE ~ Lunatic

03. SONIC FUSION ~ Heartbeats

04. VOID ~ Chemical (fingertwister rmx)

05. SOLAR FIELDS ~ Blue moon station

06. ANALOG PUSSY ~ Rug-C

07. ASURA ~ Lost Eden

08. FINGERTWISTER ~ Black spot

09. AZTECH ~ Mumine

10. EARGEAR ~ Slowsneekers

11. TRANCEFELD ~ Darkside (Outro)
-----------------------------------------------

Notice that most of them are better known for their FloOrfillers Works than these backrOom Trials..

01 ~~ Chi-AD opens the comp with a very atmospheric track. Successions of waves darker or softer, nearly no rythmics, this is deep ambient. The second half is done up with more rythmics elements nearly all blured not to break the ambiance.

02 ~~ Then Zerotonine... yes him ! the 2002 dancefloOr stomper suggests us a very interesting work with a windy-like atmosphere with many stereo effects. This is mixed with some very intelligent rythmics... the HiHats are very efficient. A vocal sample @ 03:30 set the startpoint of an hypnotik melody surrounded by many tiny psychee sounds. It works ! I like this. Stoned minds friendly track. This goes on a few minute.. till about 08:30 were comes a sound that I don't like so much... too trancy. Quite nice track however.

03 ~~ Sonic Fusion comes then with a unhappily not so original track. Even if some samples are interesting, it is a bit too much overdone. I mean lack of spontaneity. But I believe there is something promizing here.

04 ~~ This Remix opens with a dark atmosphere and quickly comes a Jungle Rythmic. First break with vocal after 1 minute to enrich the beat and then develop a smooth wave. The contrast is interesting and lasts till the third minute. There is a nice passage here with complex beat changes. The new melody is a bit... don't really know.. not my cup of tea. The track remains however pleasant.

05 ~~ Ha haaaa now we have a Chill Out Specialist : Solar Fields whose track will be the title-one of his new album (now available @ psyshop 4 exemple). Atmospherik waves open the track with some tiny sounds surrounding from times to times. This lasts about two minutes when fades in a percussions loop. Nice one. The track is very soft, perfect for relaxing and grows slowly but constantly to a climax... and then dies very very slowly. Deep Ambient.

06 ~~ Now comes the turns of the label owners : The sound spinning at the beginning is quite nice and the original bassline promise a nice work... but finally the track as a whole doesn't evolve a lot and is a bit too short. But this is a nice one for chill-out deejays for soft transitions.

07 ~~ Asura Asura Asura..... Many things have already been written here around about Lost Eden, now released on the new album and also available on Module01 (3D Vision). Turkish Chant here enlighting a masterpiece. Just give a listen to this one. It his complex, textured, beautiful, what else can I say ?

08 ~~ Second appearance of FingerTwister for a Funky delirium at the opening. Funny bassline on a 4:4 beat... I just love the hihats running on the background. DeepHouse influenced but with tiny psychee soundz. Percussions are added just before the fifth minute giving a second breath to the track.

09 ~~ Aztechs tracks is launched by german speaking sample and a strange atmosphere... quite weird.. Then does the Beat set up itself progressively. Quite 'de-constructed' and over-minimal xperiences. Interesting loops when taken apart.. but the way they are combined together is not my vibration, unhappily.

10 ~~ Ear Gear doesn't loose any time placing directly at the opening his ryhmics. A basic one with many effects. Very twisted waves in the background... very stoned listeners beware of this one ! . IMO a lack of story telling here.. just a succession of soundz less or more interesting.

11 ~~ He He he it seems that this Outro from Trancefeld is one of my favourite on this compil after Asura & Zerotonine tracks. Black Dive into a Sonic Journey..... much too short unhappily. Nice tools for transitions..

-------------------------------------------------- that's it

The general view of the CD remains positive BUT nothing compared with my excitation when I first read the tracklisting @ Psyshop..
I was expecting better.. Zerotonine, Asura, Solar Fields and Trancefeld save the furniture.
However I'm sure that if AP records compile an other one it would be interesting

Thanx for reading & cheers.

I was quite disapointed by this compilation.
I expected a bit more from AP, especially after the Psybration compilation.           Majority is never right!
