well..for a START THIS PARTY WAS PROBABLY IN ONE OF THE MOST UNIQUe venues in the country
Hey, was a good night...The work from Ian & myself (the Vanilla Penguin team) & all the hyping up over the last four months seemed to have paid off
I'd like to give the BIGGEST thankyou possible to my compadre in this :Ian Yeovil & his lady. My girlfriend Lorna(who liked Steps when I first met her)...& WHAT made the whole night..a big big thankyou to Andy & Roo for putting up such original & stuning decor.
DJ wise..
excellent & poissibly unique opening techno/psy set from TeKtris good chugging psy which warmed up for our newcomer
Java,,who lived up to the hype I gave him as being possibly the best newcomer that you will hear..if you get the chance to book him, then contdo so. The third set was quite a melodic trance psy set from
Jon The Baptist..more known for his Hard Trance..but judging by this his versatility will get him plenty more gigs in this genre. ..next was
NIGHTSKOOL ..outstanding quality very psychedlic set.. you'll be hearing a lot more from him soon as he is about to fire off in a big way.
Our finale set was a change of Tempo & a very professional PROGRESSIVE set from Israels Buju of DOMO RECORDS....PLAYED an incredibly funky set which was appreciated fully by all.
Green Alien(www.greenalien.co.uk) put a tremendously crisp light & sound show for us..& although already done , I cant thank Andy & Roo for the very original decor they provided!
Was great to meet Paul(Charmouth) ;the Infamous mr Puck & Keith. ..Fair shout to Moos from Cornwall..long way to come on your own..thankyou.
Chevron ..who came by train & car from Bristol..& got roped into packing away the sound & light show til 7.30 in the morning...fair play.
All round hopefully, people appreciated that it was a first night..& pretty smart for a first one..we've noticed where a few tweaks are to be made for future events...& we'll continue to improve
We felt genuinely humbled by the support shown..
