I read somewhere (somewhere before and also in this forum) that formant filters may make a synth "talk".
For some reason i can't seam to use the built-in formant filter in vanguard to do so.
Is it vanguard's filter that stinks or is it just me? :@ |

you use both the resonance knob and cutoff to make it speak... high res and then tweak the cutoff
you can try mapping both cutoff and resonance to
your midi controller and play around.. if you have a midi controller with knobs =)

http://www.sendspace.com/file/qwd3up
try it... simple preset
Try the trancegate also =) and tweak the cutoff...
also listen how its sounds with different waveforms...
experiment with the parameters
but if you put trance gate on and hold a key you can play with cutoff and instant talking occur.. also try different res settings

z3ta+ has a nice formant filter as well.

Neo: "What truth?"
Spoon Boy: "There is no spoon." |
