That is sad...
Using a preset is like using premixed dough for cake, like that walmart shit pronto or aunt jemina...
Synthesis is all about crafting sound from basic waveforms... creating your own bread, completly new n fresh sound.
Presets are starting points, time savers, etc... but i never leave other people presets in my tracks.
Besides Vanguard is so easy, just read the fucking manual and invest some time in really learning something... or go download all those score CDs and be a pro in a year, of course you really won't know a shit about synthesis.
But oh well... i guess we all have a Vanguard preset episode in our production learning process... so enjoy then uninstall that evil machine and begin using a modular synth or something to force you understand synthesis.
It is not that hard really, and it feels just great to think about a sound an know exactly what knob to tweak in order to make sound just like in your head. |
