Hey everyone.

I have a new synth (my last for a while) up and running.

the interface is still under development, but otherwise its finished.

Its a two osc lead synth, but... tbh honest that doesn't tell you very much.

Put it like this. The emphasis is on quality, not massive feature sets. Everything works well as oppose to just works.

The filter section is very comprehensive, allowing filter talky tricks, for example, and much much more.

The oscs are all based upon classic hardware, and feature modulations which compliment, rather then highlight the digital nature of a VST. I've concentrated on making sure a very elite selection of waveforms make it in, rather then 60 that never get used.

The FX section is not an afterthought, and although this synth does indeed sound good with no FX, the FX are based upon previous standalone effects I have produced - in other words, mangletastic.

Anyhow, love to know what people think of it - bearing in mind that the interface is still being developed, so I'm specifically after feedback about the sound.

unlike last time, everyone seems to be able to run it fine. I would also, obviously, like to hear about any compatability issues.

Synthmaker

To my ears its the most pro sounding of all the modular environments, excluding max/msp.

However, its also the most difficult to get those results in, as there a lot of bugs, and otherwise odd thigs about how it works, especially to anyone with an SE or Reaktor background like me.

Nail it though, and it sounds totally pro (and I do mean totally - I'm very very fussy about filters and oscs etc etc etc).

However, I also have a lot of time for SE, and would place it several notches above Reaktor, which I'm not to enamoured with at all (and I've owned it the longest too).

I'm very glad I purchased SynthMaker, despite all it faults. I've even used it in my computer science degree. Thats how much I trust and like this software. It doesn't lie, its just a bit buggy to work in.

Having said that, I aim to leave these behind, and expect this to be my last synth in an environemtn like this, and I gearing up for a big project in C++, which is where my heart lies.          .

there shouldn't be problems with FL8 this uses the very latest issue of SM which claims to have fixed the issue.           .

hehe yes maybe a mac version, one day far from now though I'm afraid. (sadly)

Glad you like it Tricossoma.

here is a little taster of the sorts of things it can do:

http://files.filefront.com/Vampire+Squid+From+Hellmp3/;10380049;/fileinfo.html

every single synth line is Vampyromorphida... including the bass which is straight out of the synth with no EQ or Compression...

In general nothing outside of EQ and a touch of 'verb was used on any synth line (althought there are one or two exceptions) It seems at home making dark scratchy noises and big leads. It can do pads, but its less good at that and long risers are a weakness. I may look at that.

Lol.

Okay, Okay, I'll m,ake the GUI sane.

I'll have it up in a few hours.

I'll stick in an init patch too.

Would a fairly black interface be acceptable to most people?

And Vampyromorphida is staying as the name!!

wiki it and you will see.

Downloaded it and opened it in FL8 without problems. Really nice work man. And a waaaay cool interface, very logical setup.. I also like the color sceme, it is refreshing to look at something genuine and beautiful! Sounds great btw. Many thanks to you Speada!!! If you change the interface take something that is not too dark. I like the one you posted first. And I'll keep it!
